Yes, I know its been said before, but I still think its intersesting, especially with Gill's performance today!

we need a quality target up forward:

Nick Gill, what a great game he had today, 20 disp, 11 marks, 5 goals!

A good solid ruckman who can kick goals:

Darren Jolly

A midfielder who can play inside & outside, and hurt the opostion by foot, and kick goals:

Scott Thompson (still hurts I know, but was always gonna go..)

A midfielder/flanker, who has quality finishing and good disposal:

Travis Johnstone (still a good trade in hindsight, but, still..)

An older staunch defender, to lead and help develop the Garland, Martin/Warnock Brigade:

Nathan Bassett

Notice a common theme here guys?

Aint hindsight a wonderful thing...:)

Bit of tongue and cheek, but very interesting none the less!!

And don't forget, a little off track, as he was never a demon, but the Sewell for Ferguson trade (which WE backed out of, at last second, no matter what others have heard, thats what happened, Fergy wanted to stay, so we gave it up.. still really grates at me, but what are ya gonna do..

I'm not even going to bother pointing out the series of errors you've made, since this crap has all been done before.

But I think its fair to say that your post is not rated highly.

LOl!

Relax mate..

I said its tongue and cheek!!

and there are no errors!

I know its been said before, but Gill just looked so good today, I wanted to express it! :)

Even if you are wrong often enough, it still doesn't make it right.

Yeah, sure thing mate?

You guys the gestapo huh? :)

The point is, I find it amusing that they are all pretty much what we need!

The moves were right at the time, I acknowlege that, Im not even saying I want them back, merely that its ironic!

GEEZ! its a post on a board, relax..

Im not here trying to earn your so called "high rating".. what a high school comment..

Were supporters of the MFC, im sick of all this badgering, no real need for it!

ESP in this case..

Mate, do an ex-Freo team

Lloyd, Mcphee, White, Phil Matera, Jeff Farmer, Peter Bell, Trent Croad, Andrew Mcleod, James Clement, Paul Medhurst and pick 8, Polak, Simmonds, Brodie Holland and Jess Sinclair

Yes, i know about Farmer and Bell, but this still makes great reading

Yes, I agree..

But this is a demons board!

We actually havent given away that many players, thus ironic the few we have, are what we need, thats my point!

If you're going to defend you innane "point" then you're more silly than i thought, i thought you were having a laugh.

i probabbly wouldn't have put travis johnstone in their myself, he was a bit of a high hoper for himself, in other words, when he was bad, he was absolutely crap! But when he was good, he was a chris judd...

Not in Chris Judd's orbit.

You'll probably get a laught then that in the Age's match report votes, aside from Morton topping the list, Armstrong was WC's best... listed as

7 Armstrong (Melb)

well, I sorta was, I was being very tongue & cheek!

But I got on the back foot because some people are just seriously frustrated in life, thus they seem to wanna shoot others down so quickly, its quite amusing in itself!

PS:

Lookup the word innane, before u mis-use it again! :)

I'll use the word idiotic then.

You cannot speak rubbish, then pass it off as "tongue in cheek" and then get "on the back foot"

Basically you want people to read your post, laugh at you and the complete lack of substance you've put forward, before realising it's just "tongue in cheek" and not be critical of you? You can't be serious. To what end would you like the thread to have gone? People "shot you down" because your post was useless

Much of what you say is inane, and that is something that is "1. lacking sense, significance, or ideas; silly: inane questions.

2. empty; void. 3. something that is empty or void, esp. the void of infinite space"

Now thats funny.

Was one of the few Eagles to put in and was clearly their best.

Was pretty poorly treated by our previous Coach in my opinion.

How was he treated badly?

He wasn't very good and so we delisted him. Did he want a gold watch?

Armstrong was OK on the weekend, but I don't think he any certainty to stay on West Coast's list next year. Actually, I'd say the odds are against him.

Completely agree.

Armstrong reminds me of Godfrey's performances. People rave when is a 3/10 and the rest of team is 2/10.

Nevertheless AFL has richly reward Armas for being a fringe player.

I think he was treated badly in not getting the chances I thought he deserved. He was often the first one dragged and played mainly in that ball magnet position of permanent forward pocket.

In my opinion Armstrong was much better than OK on the weekend. He was very good.

I am not saying he is the next Judd and he probably didn't ask for a gold watch either, he actually got a gold premiership medallion, lucky as he probably was.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
