It just amazes me that after 7-8 years of being down the bottom receiving good draft picks how truly bad our list is, Roos seriously needs to just completely start over, we need to cull over half the list. I have been one of Dunn's biggest critics, but i have to say i was impressed with what he did last night, not a lot of options to kick to when kicking in, but with his length he itleast gets it out of the 50, i would of like to see him go left a few times to mix it up. Looks to me as tho Tom mcDonald has worked on his kicking, made some beautfiul passes last night, Tyson i really liked, Mitchie has a bit of mongrel and can find the ball and use it well, Vince and Cross where great. Bail did some great things. Burns should of been pulled for a few of the things he did, Clisby has something about him which i really like. Terlich does all the hard stuff well just needs to take an extra second when delivery the ball. the thing that drove me nuts last night was our defensive pressure, once they got the ballwe really struggled to stop the player with the ball. If its Footy, basketball or any other sport you need to stop the man with the ball, we just ran beside them. stop the ball which limits the ball carrier from having easy looks.

I would love to see us make the eight but I think we're coming from too far back (happy to be proved wrong tho Dee's). What I am really looking for is come seasons end, up and coming and god forbid a- grade players see Melbourne as a serious option to join. Although we have done quite well with Dawes, Bernie and Dom, it did hurt when players such as Caddy and the young fellow who joined the pies wouldn't even interview with us.

Jared Rivers, was and still is a massive loss to the MFC, if you seriously think that a bloke can walk into Geelongs back line is not required at the MFC, you're loco. I would have Rivers over, Struass, Terlich, Dunn, Pedo etc any day of the week. He would still be our thrid best back man behind Chip and Garlo

Yeah i got the sense that they tried it for the sake of trying it and it didn't really help, although there is the argument that you wouldn't see the results after one preseason up there. After seeing Port Adelaide stay at home and improve so much in one preseason i bet a lot of teams thought "stuff it lets just save the money".

Im really looking forward to the training reports from the legends who get down there regularly, I was always confused at why Neil Craig ran the majority of the session and Neeld would just float around. It never really made sense to me, i liked the video of Roosy out in the middle yelling out and directing. Its just so refreshing knowing that we have a guy that we can put confidence in, this isn't another new bee where we have to hope and prey he's worth the wait. Our players now have no where to hide, if they don't preform they cannot wait for the next coach to come in if the other hurt their feelings. Im not expecting miracles from Roosy in 2014, but it will be nice to be competitive again and really push some teams. Im excited for next year!. Do they younger boys start back in Early November and the seniors in late November? No word on the NT training trip either, i can only hope it'll be running to christmas then nothing back balls in hands through to round one. Carn the Dee's
