  1. Got down today for first session. I was a rookie and didn't take notes. Session was all ball skills and they looked a lot better in this area. Things to note: - Hogan called Fitzy in to mark a ball, Fitzy ignored it and Hogan screamed "F***" showing true character of a power house forward. + he kicks it real nicely in play - Bail was doing a lot of forward work (may move to HFF) - Viney went off to do some set shots on his own, clearly an area of his game that needs improvement - Salem had a little quad niggle but during warm up his kicking with JKH was a pleasure to watch. The 2 of them are so classy. - Cross is an elite trainer. A class above everyone else on the track. The way he moves - Michie looks to be on par, hopefully body stays fresh and '14 could hold anything for him - Gawn in rehab group alone, looks to be moving well though and should return soon. - Garland, Tyson & Strauss in another rehab group and were all moving swiftly. - Few boys remainding on track at end, headed to the Tan to do a run ...
  2. I plan to head down to my first session in a very long time. If it says 9:30, can I expect a 9:30 start? Any suggestions where to park? Thanks again and look forward to updating you if I get down.
  3. Disposal under pressure is amazing - This year he kicked a clutch goal from 50m to put Dragons in front. While regularly when he has the ball, play seems to slow down as he picks the best option. Best kick i ve ever played with. Can get boot to ball quickly but often doesn't need to
  4. Yeah can accumulate the ball a fair bit. His metro games he was assigned roles and broke even on most occasions. Most of his footy will probably be through the midfield, but may be a Luke Hodge type swing man
  5. Played with Salem since u12s. Beat him in League B&F by a couple votes in u13 - i guess that ll be my claim to fame. Any questions about the kid, just ask and ill answer. Trained with him 2-3 times a week for the past 4 years. Ripper bloke, loves fifa
  6. VERY SURPRISED: Played with him as a junior and saw potential but lack of competitiveness due to size. Tagged me one game - and for memory I had a day out. However, he clearly wasn't drafted for his inside grunt work. I did see him a month ago at my exit meeting and was shocked to see his development body-wise in the space of 12 months. Tall kid, so I guess I look forward to seeing him develop.
  7. I have played with 'Freo' at representative level from U12s to this year. He use to have a nick name bull, as he was that bullier, that got the ball and charged through packs - only knew one way & that was FORWARD. However this changed after u16s, developing a defensive side to his game making him more well rounded. His explosiveness is a highlight of him, as thats what differs him from Viney, they're both hunters, but Freemans pace away from the contest, first 5m is the quickest ive seen
  8. Just ended my TAC Cup career. Two years for roughly 12 games - was a little out of favour by the coach. However, I will hold my league B&Fs over Christian Salem, Nathan Freeman and Josh Kelly as my claims to fame. MSJFL u 12s, 13s & 14s.
  9. BP: Dunn T.Mac Terlich HB: Grimes Frawley Garland M: Watts Viney Vince HF:Michie Dawes Trengove FF: Hogan Clark Howe Foll: Gawn, Jones, Tyson Bench: Toumpas, Fitz(ruck), Blease/kent, Pick 9 (Freeman <3)
  10. I hope so, just stating what the recruiting manager told us. I would be rapt to see 3 friends in the top 20.
  11. Very interesting to read all you're reviews and thoughts. I have actually been privileged enough to play alongside Kelly & Freeman from u13s till now. Being in the same team for a number of years, i have got to know them both very well. Before i get onto them both, i'd first like to alert you that all these Phantom Drafts are rough rough estimates, as the national recruiting manager of Sydney spoke to us about how the Emma Quales & co want to know everything from clubs, except why would clubs tell them the truth. The players they rate in order so it can be public knowledge - this is these peoples profession they arent going to publicise their teams prized pick!!! He even said last year a number of the players in the top 20 didn't even get drafted. Both terrific blokes. Freeman - is made for AFL. Explosive, powerful, competitor that from u13s day would tear the field apart. Get it from the centre, break the lines and kick goals. The beast inside him proves he has what it takes to make it in the next level. Kelly - is a professional. Swift mover but very light frame. I for one, arent sold on him making it big time at the highest level. I can see a Cale Morton/Tom Scully all over. He is a runner!! but will take time to develop and dont think its what we can afford to waste our time with right now. I hope for his sake he makes it big time because he deserve. But for us MFC we should give it a skip. He is very silky and often finds time when he has the ball, but i can see how at AFL level he would get exposed!
