You cannot compare River's to Clark and Frawley, River's left because of Mark Neeld. I was a massive fan of River's i wish he was still with us.

The thing that intrigues me about the whole Clark-saga is that half the Melbourne team (including the leadership group and captain) went to his wedding. You cannot tell me that he completely farked over the MFC and had the captain and LG and most of the playing list attending his wedding. Either he was shown the door by Roo's/PJ after something has happened, or our playing list truly don't care.

Great post mate, it sounds like it truly was Amateur hour. For people saying we're over reacting its really not. for those of us that run business these and the non negotiable's. Jumbo, how can they possibly hang onto them all through? they have paid Scully, Davis and Ward a fortune, now they have signed Cameron to another mega deal and have signed Smith. That leaves Sheil, Treloar, Greene, Bugg, Conilio, Hoskin-Elliot and Tomlinson......thats some quality players who would like their bite at the cherry, they may of made a pact in their first contracts but the boys (probably more their managers) will be seeking a major payrise. If they can keep them, well played, i honestly cannot see it though.

I never get to excited for practice matches before they're simply that. We have been working on things all offseason, theres a very good chance Roosey will concentrate on a few things tonight like, structures and pressure on the ball, play on quickly etc. You never give away all your moves in pre-season, i expect us to go in low and hard. Im really excited about seeing the new guys and what they add. I saw last season that we're well on the right track, now its about putting it together, looking forward to seeing Salem in the back half and Hulk up forward. Im hoping for a solid hit out and no injuries!!!!! Go Dee's

According to PJ we're looking to make finals next year, that means we need to roughly win around 8 games this year, then 12-13 games to crack it into the bottom 8. that should be our pass mark.

We can only hope for a Gartlett and Betts scenario. would be brilliant!
