  1. The current board has undone all the magnificent work the late Jim Stynes has done, I hate brining up Jimmy but they truly have. Jim's dream of what this club stands for has vanished. We're now completely irrelevant and can not be trusted. I really feel for the players, I can only imagine what Dawes, Toumpas, Viney and Hogan are thinking and I honestly don't blame them if they up and left. We have turned into the worst possible clud that stands for nothing. Congrats to Schwab, Don and the rest of the board you have dug an almighty hole that we may never get out of. What a sorry state of affairs, reading it this morning I was in disbelief.
  2. Agree, Let’s just hope they play us into some form, like we have to teams in the first 3 rounds. Viney will tear Scully a new one if he is given a chance!
  3. Brogan is gone for 3 weeks, with him out we should beat them by 60+, so we'll probably limp over the line for a 6 point win. It will be a shame for Toumpas not to sing the song. link; http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/giants-veteran-dean-brogan-has-been-found-guilty-of-rough-conduct-suspended-for-three-weeks/story-fndv8lf1-1226621097199
  4. Mark Williams for me, at then end of the day he was coaching GWS last year and Sheedy was the media puppet. I'm hoping the board are talking to him now, give me a year to watch us and see how he can turn it around! we're sinking fast!
  5. I politely disagree, Football clubs are not longer football clubs, they’re now a business/enterprise. If a project manager of a job fall that far behind, he would be removed without a blink of an eye. The MFC need to realize this is a business and we need to be competitive in the market. If we sit on our hands and this continues, no one will want to come and play through the free agency and there will be a massive walk out next year. Sometimes partnerships just don’t work. Mark is a smart man, he’ll know if this continues mid season he is gone. The sharks are truly circling and he would certainly know it. Something has to give either it’s the players improve or the coach goes, its one or the other. We’re not this bad, our list is not that shocking. Something has to give and give soon!!!
  6. With all the clubs to choose from and you went to Richmond?!?!?! hahahaha!
  7. Spot on mate!. I just find it all to coincidental that Don said "yes i have had regular contact with the AFL" and then CS has been sacked/resigned. We're here now ladies and gentlemen, lets just hope this is ROCK BOTTOM for the MFC and we're on our way up. Im sick and tired of answering the phone and having mates go "so hows the MFC going at the moment". Carn the Dee's, the players, members and supporters have got what they want, lets make a stand! god i would laugh if we thrashed West Coast on Saturday! haha
  8. Sorry mate, but I don't buy in to the Ox being president!, loved the bloke as a footballer but we cannot afford to make another mistake regarding the CEO and president. When you look at Costa, Eddie and what even Kochie is doing at Port, Ox just isn't t in that field.
  9. Well after all the letters that everyone has sent it to Don, he stood up and delivered, lets get a massive turn out on Saturday guys!, This club needs UNITY has Don said, If i was there i wouls be shaking Don's hand, We all wanted action and it happened!
  10. This is huge if this is true. I did not watch the game last night as i was at a wedding but my Essendon mates certainly let me know about it. If Roosey did come on board it would be FANTASTIC, I'm not holding my breathe tho. Things are in dire straights at the moment. Totally disheartening ......
  11. Didn't the team say the same thing after the Sydney loss last year?!?
  12. It made me laugh that when he came out and said "if the MFC club don't pick me, I will make them regret it" people were screaming on social media that he's arrogant blah blah blah. Every great players needs that confidence and arrogance! He is bloody exciting to have on this list, Toumpas and Hogan will be handy for us. But this is the bloke to build a list around! You need guys to come in that want to play with Jack! If we suck all year it will be exciting to watch him improve all year! Love him already! Edit: bloody iPhone
  13. Why is Watts fronting the media so much lately? Wheres our so called leadership group? I find it strange...
  14. Ive heard enough talk from Mr Neeld now, I just want to see vast improvement, that shouldn't be to hard after last weekend effort and thats what sh!ts me, we'll all probably be happy with a honourable loss as we're jaded from how putrid we were against port. One of the boys from work is great mates with Brad Ebert and said this morning after speaking to Brad after the game "the port boys have been absolutely flogged all weekend since their training is back from the UK, wanted to honour J-Mac, couldn't believe that Melbourne let us jump them in the first game, thought they just didn't show up, They all love Hinkley and loves the encouragement and really looks after the younger guys". Port will surprise a few teams this year. Imagine having a team fit and wants to play for their coach. Must be nice to watch
  15. Not Gilles again..... i have to buy a new jersey because of this bloke. Gilles + Sellar must of been warned to perform or you're out. Pederson doesn't deserve another run Dunn should of been dropped even if 100% fit INS; I am really hoping Davey shows something for us, Good to See Trenners back, Mcdonald should help us out immensely !
  16. I really wish i didn't watch that DD, i understand that the media do beat things up and i know its only week 1, but by god why is it that the most respected old footballers/coaches can clearly see that something is wrong with our once great club, yet nothing has changed for the past 50 years? i am dumbfounded. Maclure was 100% spot on. i couldn't agree with him more. God im angry!
  17. I do get the sense that he was brought in as Plan B if the Neeld appointment didn't work, imagine having Craig and Choc Williams In the box next year?
  18. Haha! Growing up in QLD and following AFL and the MFC has given me a pretty thick skin, I give as good as I get, it doesn't hurt that I'm 6"3 as well
  19. Have changed my photo, This wonderful young man has all the attributes to pull this club out of the graveyard. The way he plays will hopefully be infectious to the others around him. Then in two years time ring Ollie and says "mate Toump and i need a hand, jump on over!" (its fun to day dream) Love this kid!, bleeds red and blue and thats what we need!
  20. Mate you don't need to explain yourself to people who havent lifted a finger for the club!. Thanks for helping out the club and best of luck for the future!. Stop by Demonland tho, it's always interesting to hear from someone within the club or was within the club!.
  21. i couldnt agree with you more, but seeing what HG just hinted at, maybe if things are changed the turnaround could be drastic!, we can all only hope and pray i guess. If they turn up on saturday night like they did on sunday, they'll get 5000 max supporters at games for the rest of the year!. Maybe then something will change this negative energy!. enjoy your trip up to Brisbane anyway, lets just hope the football doesn't spoil it haha
