Give Dawes a break - he got shafted by Collingwood when they recruited Quinten Lynch as their second key forward / ruck (who by the way was injury prone and only played 18 games over two seasons and kicked 18 goals). He has played 44 games and kicked 43 goals and at least is still on an AFL list. He topped our goal kicking in 2014 and has filled a hole for us whilst Jesse developed and busts his guts / gives his all for us when he is out there. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can really overcome the injury and show his worth to us all during this year. Personally I'd love to see him kick one after the final siren to beat the Pies by a point on Queens Birthday!

Michelle Cowan and Daisy Pearce join the MFC

Fantastic move by the club, given the growth of female footy interest and Michelle being a woman will round off perspectives about welfare and treatment of women - really proud of my club right now about both appointments. -
Women's footy curtain raisers?

Having seen the second 1/2 of the first Women's Game - I'd go and watch some of the game if it was on before the men's game - good way to get a broader audience to see their skills -

Last year we picked up a bloke with a bung shoulder who turned out pretty good! (1 x A. Vandenberg) -
If you need to get the word MELBOURNE in have it as a 'shout' after "it's the emblem for me and for you" MELBOURNE and after "the team of the red and the blue" MELBOURNE. Don't have to change the song then

To whoever asked - Matt Jones came from Hawthorn! Let's look elsewhere

Didn't look overawed at all. Very competitive and hard at it. Great debut.

Great to have this bloke (McCartney) at the club

I saw him on the train from Geelong yesterday - we said 'G'day' as I got off at Footscray. He's a pleasant guy. -
I thoroughly respect the contribution Crossy made and hope he stays involved with the Club. Thanks for putting your body on the line and having a crack every week - I'll miss his G&D!

How many has Viney played?

I've put the cue in the rack - not wasting my time watching the next 2 games. I'll only become interested again to see who we delist and draft. Less likely to attract any decent players with these performances. Hope we can get some onfield mongrel types / leaders that play like Hodge, Fyfe, Sloan and J. Selwood - to replace the insipid leaders we have.

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood

Tyson had some brilliant in close handpasses today -
If he's 5 he'll enjoy the day no matter what. I took my son to his first game against the filth and they absolutely flogged us in the first quarter. When they finally kicked a point he excitedly yelled out 'daddy we've got the ball' much to the amusement of all around. He still barracks for the dees 20 years later!
