Last years game at Etihad against Brisbane was the worst game I've ever seen (and we lost!). Sounds like the standard of this one was similar and we WON! Enough said! Go DEES!

Paul Roos - don't give us more excuses!

. I can't remember him ever kicking a drop kick, perhaps he's a drop punt! -
Post Match Discussion - Round 12 (never in doubt)

I got to wear my Mfc tie and scarf on the train from Geelong the morning. Unearthed a few Dees supporters! What a great win -
Question for getting to and from Geelong
#11-TonyAnderson replied to Pates's topic in Melbourne Demons
Get off at South Geelong - 500 metre walk. It's zone 4 in Myki. Be careful there's a new timetable on Sunday because Geelong trains go on the regional rail line through Sunshine and two new stations then back in at little river. NOT through Newport or Werribee -

What's the contract status with Hunt? Given he has been injured for so long I'd be thinking he is nervous? -
Some of Gawn's hitouts are sublime too!

Dropped another one that we should have won. Being a dees supporter teaches resilience!

I'm pleased for Trengove that he's been given another year. I hope he makes it back, as he seems to be highly regarded around the clud for the qualities he displays as a person and leader.

Frost is second ruck so can't see him going out. Agree with Vince for Toumpas. Perhaps Kent will go out for Dawes due to concussion.
-
TDI - thank you for your dedicated and detailed reports throughout the pre-season. I suspect you have 'done' more sessions than many of the players. I have really appreciated your efforts to report your observations of the sessions. Also to others who have sent detailed reports - thanks also. It is terrific to get a sense of what is going on for those who are unable to attend the sessions. Go Dees!

For those who have been baying for the non-selection of Spencer, Grimes, Bail, M.Jones, Terlich and McKenzie - your wish has been granted. Let's hope the new team puts on a terrific display and that we finally win a round 1 game.

What is Fitzy's tank like - could he become our Blicavs or play on a wing like Matthew Richardson did at times? -

Lent (Latin: Quadragesima - English: Fortieth) is a solemn religious observance in the liturgical calendar of many Christian denominations that begins on Ash Wednesday and covers a period of approximately six weeks before Easter Sunday ..... so perhaps Kent decided to give up playing until after Easter Sunday! -
Next you'll be wanting blazers .... oh wait a minute!

Having played against Sorrento, I can assure you it is not part of the VAFA (Amateurs) Comp - they are the reigning Nepean League premiers - perhaps he wants to be part of a 'winning' team?

This is fantastic news

TDI - we've had all the happy videos about the "Mac Bros" together again, ANB and Stretch, Petraccca and Brayshaw etc. Can we find out when the Dawes & Lumumba ("best mates video") is coming out from Matt Burgan? ...seriously how do those two get along? -

How about we win Round 1 for a change .... that would be a pretty good celebration of the 200 and his first game with us (provided he is in the team ... not injured etc) -
I suspect it might be Harmes, who has a year under his belt (if anyone). PS: If Aaron VANDENBERG was born on 03/03/92 .... my maths says he will turn 23 in March 2015 and.... 24 in March 2016! (And he is recovering from Shoulder surgery)

For those critical of Evans go back and look at the last quarter where we kicked 12 goals against GWS (think it was 2012) - his run and carry assisted with that win. He does seem to be better at attack rather than the defensive side though.

I have published this email a couple of times that was received on 28th August 2014 re: Terlich, Bail and Riley - so there should be no need for confirmation of Terlich being signed until end of 2016: Hi "X", Thank you for your email and support of the Club. We appreciate your feedback. Bail and Riley have re-signed for 1 year and Terlich for 2 years. Thank you again for your support. How about "Juicier"? - can't you just imagine Macavaney pronouncing "Juicier", like he does "Special"! -

RIP Robbie Flower - Sad Passing of a True Champion

I was honoured to watch him play throughout his career and glad he experienced the 1987 finals in his last year. What an incredible player - a shining light during very dim times and by all accounts a wonderfully humble man off the field. Another great who will be sadly missed. Condolences to all of his loved ones.
