So,why did the Courier mail publish an article today saying that he was wrapped with his extension? What do you know that the Brisbane press doesn't? http://www.triplem.com.au/melbourne/sport/afl/news/2014/10/brisbane-youngster-daniel-mcstay-signs-new-two-year-contract-extension-which-will-tie-him-to-the-lions-until-the-end-of-2017/

Ideal replacements for Petracca and Trengove!
-
I think our Premiership window is 2-3years away so five years of footy left would be consistent with that!
-
This directly contradicts the AFL website which suggests he is staying put:http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-10-06/trade-winds-aish-set-for-new-deal-with-lions

Good article and pleased that he obviously has faith in where we are headed. Shame that he won't pull on the boots for Casey but we are putting together a very strong group in our FD, especially now that McCartney is staying!
-
Trade him for Melksham and retain our first two, picks! Essendon may well want an experienced KPP to replace Carlisle.

So what do you think of a straight swap (without steak knives)? -
You mean like Scully?

I also saw some good results at Casey and his performance on Boyd was commensurate to Frawely's coup against Kennedy on the weekend (however it was not the GF was it?). I just feel that we could have packaged him up somehow and seen if we could market him during the trade period and then making the call if no bites.

Aren't we doing a straight swap for Dawes (who reportedly is out the door)? Seems like he would be handy for them with Carlisle going! If we hadn't been so hasty to delist Fitzy, then he could have been added for steak knives. -
With Jones and Tyson for depth!

Be a great coup if he slips through to pick 6 (& we haven't traded it)! Check out the two links below: http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/south-australias-aaron-francis-looms-as-smoky-to-be-taken-at-pick-no-1-at-the-national-draft/story-e6frf3e3-1227510627221 http://www.afl.com.au/video/2015-06-11/u18s-draft-bolter-dominating-at-both-ends

2015 Player Review - # 24 Jay Kennedy-Harris

No it means that we are tanking! -
JKH has the lowest centre of gravity but shouldn't we be entering Frost?

Somebody remember to post after the end of the 2017 draft!

Personally I was sorry to see Fitzy get delisted. He did an excellent job that day he held Boyd to one touch against the Bulldogs and he played some great games for Casey. Considering his problem with injuries in the first few years, I am unsure why we delisted him as soon as he managed a full season. There are not many 200cm project players around who can play both ends and I only have to look at Martin to be reminded what happens with some players when they move to another Club (as lowly as ourselves). Pig Dog also did not get much of a chance, especially for a player who missed much of the pre-season. Considering we have retained the contracted Terlich and Jones (neither of whom appear amongst Casey's best players), it is surprising that we were so quick to delist these two before the commencement of the trade period. Surely either they: 1) could have value as trade bait, 2) be rookied as we promote Vanders, Harmes and possibly White, or 3) go on Casey's list whilst we continue to develop them and use them as the nucleus of a stronger "Reserves" team as we progressively improve our list depth under Roos, Goodwin and McCartney!

Did it occur to anyone that he may just not be one of the 34 players? Does anybody know for sure? In any event I am sure that the MFC and other Clubs dealing with Essendon players will have pretty creative escape clauses. -
I'd also give him another year. I just have the hunch that he may surprise us!

More interest is the departure of. Brad Green!

Does anybody know whether he was one of the 34 doing drugs? Maybe there isn't a problem (but in any advent I am sure negotiations would cover it)! -
He might have kicked 10 goals but he got more goal assists which adds more value and illustrates that he is a team player!

My advice today from a very good MFC source is that Watts is going nowhere. The fact that his image (along with Hogan's) is offered by the Club one of the options for the 2016 membership card seems to support this advice. -
Don't worry he is staying!
