I guess the one redeeming aspect as far as the MFC's interest in the proceedings is the fact that the eight persons (admin, coaching etc) in item 11) of the 34 page charge sheet did not include Goodwin. I cannot see why WADA would run the risk of weakening their case by expanding it to include anybody else (apart from the players) at this stage.

What about GWS? Apart their Academy selections, this year is the first year that they have been brought back to what approximates a level playing field in the draft. I think that they may well miss Trealoar and other departures and am backing us to finish ahead of them.

I reckon that we will also finish above the Suns and GWS as well as the four you nominated. I also think that our Queen's Birthday match against Collingwood will be an absolute ripper next year culminating in us winning by one point when Petracca kicks a goal from outside fifty after the siren.

I agree that Maxie will play a massive part in our fortunes for next year however (unlike you) I don't want him to "prove that he has both feet heavily planted on the ground"! I want to see him soaring into the air taking pack marks above the opposition ruckmen!

I wouldn't dare suggest that PJ was lying to us when he said finals in 2016. I also am supremely optimistic! The way we win more games is by playing at the level that we are capable of for four quarters. Let's hope for a big preseason from our young list, (especially Oliver who I would love to see debut alongside Petracca and Trengove)!

The silver lining is that it promotes Oliver one place up in terms of making an earlier debut. That is the advantage of the depth we are assembling in our midfield.

I'd be replacing M. Jones and Terlich before I'd be replacing JW. Also in GTG's analysis I'd be looking at Bugg up forward (or as a utility) rather than assuming him to be playing in the back half!

Question: Would there be a benefit in paying out M. Jones and Terlich's contracts at this late stage and promoting King and White? We could offer to recruit them both into Casey (where realistically is where they will both spend all their time next year, whereas White may be a chance in getting a run and is better depth). If we did this it may allow us to look at anybody of interest in the PSD or selecting three rookies. At the very least, it would significantly strengthen Casey and provide MFC more depth (c.f. retaining M.Jones and Terlich when we have different needs to when they were drafted)!
