Rather than Matt Jones for his pace, what about Fitzy? Everybody should look at his highlight when he sprinted the length of the ground and then roasted a goal on Saturday. The Coburg player had no hope of catching him. With Fitzy we get a back up ruckman who can play both ends!

Why would you "backdate" or reduce any penalty? It is not as though they have been on remand or voluntarily even given up any home and away matches! Their only penalty (apart from being chucked out of the finals that they were never going to advance beyond the first round) was the farcical situation of not playing in the NAB Challenge in a publicity stunt. Let them take their due punishment I say and then let them sue the EFC!

Actually the difference between JW and HL is in the disposals. Both work as hard as Jesse but HL is a liability with his disposals whilst JW is elite (most of the time)!

I would be interested to have a look at White considering Vanders is out for the season. Effectively we won't see Petracca, Vanders or Trenners so why not promote him before the Blues match and see how he looks? Maybe he can replace Jetta.

Nor one game where the opposition were gifted as many frees directly in front of goal. Some of the frees against us for supposed high tackles were scandalous (unless the rules have been rewritten to include tackles between the shoulder and the hips)!

I cannot understand all those clambering to delist Fitzy! A 200cm KPP who has developed this year at both ends and who also is capable of being a back--up ruck. I can see him becoming another Stef Martin the moment he transfers to another Club. To me there are others on our list (e.g. McKenzie, Bail) who offer far less upside. We would be silly to discard a developing tall who is insurance, for the same reason that those same Demonlanders feel we should retain Pederson on our list (and they are right)!
