  1. Not the worst idea going around. He’d be backup for Jetta or Hibberd in my opinion. Mostly Casey but handy to call up if needed.
  2. Just read that Jones could be rated top 10-12 Geelong likely at pick 12. Maybe someone like Liam Stocker might slide and still be there at 23.
  3. Lockhart will get a late draft call up or rookie chance. Dees could use pick 91 (probably be 83-85 after other teams use picks for academy and father/son point needs) or a rookie pick for Lockhart.
  4. Still pondering 91. The 100-1 shot. Obviously need to see how many picks we will use. Waiting until we see which potential delisted free agents we may sign. If we get O’Halloran, Duursma, Ayton-Delaney, Bedford, we would have got the pace and run, so we need some height. Some older types for ruck/fwd options would be Matt Hammelmann (Redland) 21 yo or ruckman Lachlan Waddell (Old Scotch) 22 yo. , though both could be rookie options
  5. 8 places left on our list. 6 main list + 2 rookies. Space for 1-2 delisted free agents. With picks 23,28,54,62,91 there should be at least 1 free agent to be seriously considered.
  6. Defenders Thompson. Harbrow. Day. Hanley. then just fillers. Sam Day is an A grade type key forward/back and must be wondering why he is left at the Suns
  7. So MFC could grab Cyril Rioli? If he wanted to play in 2020! Hypothetically only
  8. He actually has played some pretty good footy. Definitely AFL standard. Dominated VFL but just needed a better run. Would be upgrade on prior midfield depth. Better than Jkh or Maynard.
  9. Suns to pickup Murdoch Hawks to pickup Minchington Giants to pickup Sheridan Swans to pickup Menzel? Dees to pickup?????????
  10. Brisbane has poached him on a 3-year deal. $$$$s up.
  11. Need to get another midfielder for depth and help rotations (or the injury curse). It’s a long year. Weller, Sheridan,Partington or Honeychurch all are possibilities.
  12. Bring back Cheney???? !!!!!???? Yeh na yeh na
  13. Fraser Turner is very good. Very good. I had him around 32-35 but he appeals as a pacy outside wingman. Others however preferred at 23 & 28.
  14. Round 1 2019 black arm bands with number 12 on it retire #12 jumper for the 2019 year
  15. Magic. Sadly missed
  16. Colin Sylvia drafted #3 in 2003 as the modern midfielder 185cms 86kgs. Solid build. Strong. Pace. Skilled. Kicking over 50 metres. Goal kicker. Debut 2004 157 games 130 goals 27 Brownlow Votes 10 years. ** MFC Life member ** 2009 5th B&F Awesome 2009 game v Hawks (reigning premiers) 4 goals 37 possessions Always excites the crowd Fantastic clubman. Always friendly. Great with kids. Had a chat each time. Big smile. Huge talent. Struggled with intense demands of AFL. Struggled with life’s vices especially alcohol Gone too soon. Too bloody soon. Always remembered
  17. Refer 23 and 28 thread. Mchenry and Stack - not to us at these picks Wasted choices given the talent available at each pick Based on the Knightmare (Chris Doerre) choices, for me it’s 23 - Bailey Williams (or Ely Smith) 28- Tom McKenzie
  18. Tougher draw in 2019. Much tougher. Better for $$$ and Friday nights. Expect minimum 4 Friday nights. Expect to play 5 of top 9 (top half) teams twice. That’s hopefully Eagles x 1 in Melbourne Collingwood x 2 round 1 & QB game Tigers x2 incl Anzac Eve Hawks x2 Cats x 1 home game Sydney x 2 Giants x1 away Kangas x 2 hope it’s Pies (away) Round 1 on the Friday night
  19. Looking at the list and age brackets, Sheridan fits in nicely. With new 4-5 draftees, we will potentially need to grab 1-2 delisted free agents for depth and cover the position 24-25 that Tyson covered.
  20. A roll of the dice. Just doubled down.
  21. For me agree it’s down to 6 Bailey Williams - Dandenong-Big forward/ruck, Agile, Skilled, Goalkicker. Likely to go 15-19. Xavier O’Halloran-Western- highly skilled ruck rover. 187cms. Inside/outside. Classic modern midfielder, A leader. Likely 23-25 pick Ely Smith- midfield bull, competitor, clearance king, Pace, toughness, ready to go. Likely to go 15-23 Xavier Duursma - Gippsland- pacy mid, takes game on, attacking mid, inside/outside competitor. Likely 23-25 pick Tom McKenzie- Northern- the runner. Outside midfielder. Very skilled. Good competitor. Perfect fit. Likely pick 23-28 Chayce Jones - Tassie- another outside running mid. Wingman. Classic footballer. Good skills and decisions. Likely pick 25-29.
  22. Pick 65- Eagles. Jeremy Sharp Pick 81- Freo. Tom Medhat
  23. I also missed Tom Medhat as Freo next gen player.
