It’s McKenzie or Bytel for me at our first pick. Pick 26-28ish then likely Kennerley, Turner, Hamill or Sparrow.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Gutted. Had hoped for O’Halloran. Last pick of the night. Its Hill, Valente and Taylor who dropped down. Eagles - Hill or Luke Foley Crows- Valente Swans - Taylor Dees - it’s still Tom McKenzie for me. Jack Bytel is a very tempting option as a punt.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Based on watching 4 national championships matches live and 7 under 18s matches live ... plus highlights ... I agree with you. Ohalloran is a star. Bytel can be the steal of the draft. McKenzie is exactly what we need for outside pace whilst Turner is a jet who needs some refinement. All would be good picks. Mostly watched Stingrays games so I am biased. Bedford is a lock. Other Stingrays such as Will Hamill, Zac Foot, Bailey Williams and Sam Sturt should be drafted. Riley Bowman is also not to be overlooked. Saw GF v Chargers. Collier-Dawkins is a absolute gun. Impressed by James Jordan and Will Kelly.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
tonight will tell the story - 1st round in a way it helps MFC for pick 23 (3rd or 4th pick on Friday morning) as we can sit down and talk through our options and who is available it is a midfield focus according to Taylor’s discussion might have to see if any top 20 player slides as is usually happens but then consider why (work rate, attitude, other teams draft priorities)

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Jack Bytel remains the mystery. If the medicals show promise, he could be a huge steal.

No way.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Wow. Yes updated Twomey has MFC grabbing O’halloran who is my #1 target. Ely Smith is the bolter for Twomey. O’Halloran suits us perfectly. A classy mid. Then next pick we could grab McKenzie, Hamill, Turner or Kennerley.

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
TOM McKenzie FRANK Anderson WILL Hamill old fashioned names no Zac, Zak, Izak, Tarryn, Rhylee. Wouldnt mind a SAM Walsh or a JACK Lukosius

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - COREY WAGNER
Wags junior. You beauty. Shows our Casey pathway and how we can develop and then REWARD youngsters. Tim Smith. Fritsch. Wagner. Lockhart?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
I like him. Someone who likes it tough. He will be handy in ruck or forward rotation and will relieve Gawny from being exhausted by August.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Yes I’m a fan of Tom Joyce. I reckon the Eagles might grab him at around their pick 24-26 , adjusted for fatherson and academy picks. O’halloran remains the real standout are 24-27 range. Whilst I think more running mids are preferred (Mckenzie, Kennerley, Turner, Hamill), the Taylor-style is Ely Smith and Sparrow. Grunt.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Yes this is almost a mirror of my post under Bailey Williams. I was hoping for Williams but Taylor’s comments reflect we will target young midfielders. Ely Smith is interesting. Clearance kick. Handballs rather than kicks to create. With Viney and Oliver and then Smith, we would rule the contested clearances. Hoping for class of O’halloran and then pace of McKenzie.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Yes it’s mids at 23 and 28 or 29 and 32 adjusted after father sons and academy selections Hoping for O’halloran and/or Sturt. Thinking more likely Jacob Kennerley, Tom McKenzie, Fraser Turner and Will Hamill will get called at one of our picks.
-
Bailey Williams
Yes there’s Blakey , Thomas , Quaynor , Briggs ,Kelly & West as father son and academy picks. I agree with Twomey that MFC pick 23 will become more likely 27-29 by day 2. In the mix Xavier O’halloran- in hope Sam Sturt - in hope Tom McKenzie Jacob Kennerley Fraser Turner Will Hamill Hopefully Toby Bedford nomination is 3rd Round or later. We will definitely match. I think Ayton-Delaney is still in our mix for the 3rd Round (50s) pick if Bedford nominated after this. Agree with Harry Reynolds in 3rd Round and Frank Anderson at the end (possibly at pick 83-90 wherever it ends up). Demons look to focus on pace through young midfield additions. Lockhart still my rookie pick. Reward and backline backup for Jetta just in case.
