  1. good to see big maxy commit to the club for a further 2 years. hoepfully he remains injury free and continues to build on the solid form he has shown this year.
  2. but as others have said, we could possibly play Fitzy on the wing with watts. Fitz has the speed and agillity required for the job, the only query would be his disposal but that is definitely improving
  3. but will other clubs with A graders be willing to part with an A grader for an early pick?
  4. Viney coming in for Nicho is defintely an upgrade for this wk. Hopefully Viney stays fit for th rest of the season
  5. what DemonOx said edit: plus i think as another said on here, its kind of part of me and will never change.
  6. were these taken by you Rhaz? if so great job!
  7. i wouldn't keep my mouth shut about it when talking to my dad
  8. there is no way Dawes will be traded. So what if he isn't very versatile! We brought him in to be a stay at home fwd and he is doing a good job at that.
  9. why are there two of these threads now? one was bad enough!
  10. at the start of the year Duigan was talked about as a possible captain at the blues! how things can change. He was a reasonably good defender for the Blues but he had some of the worst kicks i have seen, and we have a better back 6 then Carlton too so even if we did get him he'd struggle to get a game for us. And anyway, its mids we desperately need.
  11. Coach: Roos as head coach and Ling to step in as assistant or midfield coach. Craig to stay with some other still major role. Gawn: 3 year contract Watts: 3 year contract Sylvia: signs for 2 years BIGGEST midfield recruit(s): Daniel Cross and Sheed. If we get another high end pp then Aish or Dunstan, preferably aish if available. Rising star: Hogan
  12. this guy is tearing it up at the Swans. If he had started playing at the start of the year, imo he would be ahead of O'meara in the rising star. He spent a few seasons in reserves without any pressure on him and is now reaping the benefits. If we were to make a play for him we would have to really offer a huge sum and give the swans a pretty big deal for them also. I can't see him leaving the swans at all. Would love to have him but it just won't happen imo.
  13. trengove with a full pre-season should return to the sort of footy he produced in 2010-11. he started the year slowly which can be expected due to the lengthy stint with injury during pre-season but he is now improving with every game he is playing.
  14. i don't get why people are saying get rid of Davey at the end of the year. yes he may've lost some of his pace, but he is still fast, still has great kicking skills and can create something out of nothing. he has produced this year and he should still have another year left in him, possibly 2 but that would be it.
  15. it was good to see the boys fight today. they have made major improvements since Craig took over.
  16. yeah and he's only getting better i was thinking of upgrading him a few weeks ago, no chance now
  17. I think davey has another year left in him, possibly 2(but unlikely). He has produced the goods at times this year and is pretty much our only small fwd and while he may've lost some pace since his best days he stil has the abillity to create something out of nothing and he is still a very good kick. If indeed he is moved on we should keep him in some sort of role behind the scenes.
  18. they were talking about it last night on the footy show. They said he overheard a discussion between bucks and the rest of the umpiring group and he later went up and confronted bucks and immediately left furious. They didn't specify what it was about as they were still trying to find it out from the club. I must say i'm not really surprised that buckley has said something that has offended someone, i've always thought he was a self centered so and so!
  19. very excited to see him play for us next year alongside the likes of Clark, Dawes and Watts as our tall forwards. Go Hogan!!!
  20. To start with i was all for us getting Boyd. But now given how Watts has performed over the last few weeks up fwd, along with Dawes i really don't think we need him. dawes seems to have shaken the injury nad is playing good footy, Watts is showing that his place is in the fwd line, Clark is still recovering and hopefully will be able to produce the form he had pre-injury, and we still have hogan for next year who is currently tearing it up at VFL level. With all of these guys fit and in our team Clark would probably get the 1st defender, Dawes 2nd, Hogan 3rd and Watts 4th and whoever else is in the fwd line will get the rest. Thes guys will be able to severely stretch any backline and cause headaches. Quite likely most teams wont have enough tall defenders to counteract all our talls next year, and add in the possibility of having Gawn, fitzpatrick or Jamar drifting fwd and we should have the potential to have the best fwd line in the comp as far as talls go. Add in Howe with his speccies, Davey with his speed and maybe even Rodan(?) we will have a very good fwd line. Given that we should go after mids. Preferably Aish and probably dunstan
  21. i was going to, or at least felt like throwing my computer across the room if they lost that! we played soooo well for 3qtrs and a very small part of the last. We need to finish off games and realise that other teams don't give up! Nevertheless GO DEES!!!
