  1. yeah fair point there jumbo, but KC did was saying Terlich was likely best casey player today
  2. yeah i was thinking that after i read all the other comments
  3. oh right, woops, wel they're debutants for our team then, same goes for Port.
  4. a team has never won before with more than 4 debutants (so i've heard), melbourne and port are debuting 6 and 7 respectively, so it'll be a first, lets hope it goes our way
  5. if he can produce the form he did in 2011 and for the most part 2012 then he will be a good pick up. I feel he was very unlucky not to play a fair chunk of last year for north considering his very strong VFL form, the only thing keeping him out was the good form of the fwds that north had in at the time. edit: uploaded the most recent video of him i could find
  6. i'm confident he will produce good football. When he was given the chance at north he was a pretty good fwd
  7. my tips are: Carlton by 23pts Brisbane by 34pts Sydney by 67 pts St Kilda by 25pts melbourne by 17pts Collingwood by 30pts hawthorn by 12pts (shorely they will beat them this year???)
  8. when you look at that team, and what we will have for sunday, we're looking for healthier for this year then were were last year.
  9. If gawn can shake his injuries off then i'd say he will be our next no.1 ruck. Even though he has only played a handful (4?) of games i think he has shown enough that he, if he can shake the injuries will become an above average ruck. The vision of him against freo with his multiple efforts really stick in my mind.
  10. Watts seems the most likely at this stage, but i wouldn't be surprised if Dunn is one of if not the most improved if the training reports are anything to go by.
  11. will be there, i think can't wait for the first game of the year!
  12. awesome news. Would be good to see him in rnd 1 given his performances in the nab cup, but i wouldn't be surprised if he isn't. i do think he'll turn out to be a steal in the long run though given where we got him in the draft.
  13. Geelong are my most hated! don't ask me why because i'm not exactly sure why, i just do, but it might have something to do with the fact that i cannot stand stevie J! Next would be adelaide and then carlton.
  14. quite likely i'll be there. first game in quite a while so would be nice to get off to a good start. Almost certain for the essendon game too
  15. If all the players mentioned are playing in the VFL this week then our injury list is looking very very healthy Melbourne injury list Rohan Bail (concussion) 2 weeks Max Gawn (hamstring) 2 - 3 weeks Sam Blease (ankle) test Chris Dawes (hamstring) test Tom McDonald (ankle) test Mitch Clark (foot) available Jack Trengove (foot) available Jack Viney (neck) available Leaves only Bail and Gawn.
  16. i've grown used to it, have been copping it since i was probably 12 (17 now), doesn't stop me, never will. Just waiting to have my turn when we rise
  17. Definitely a keeper. he has did a complete turnaround in the last season, and his form between rnds 8-15 should us how important he will become. He has the best disposal out of all our defenders and without him down there i would say there would be turnover after turnover after turnover (not that there isn't already, but a lot more). during rnds 8-10 last year watts had taken 11 intercept marks (1st in AFL), 34 intercept possesions (1st in AFL), had 19 rebound 50's (2nd in AFL), was averaging 27 disposals (17th in AFL incl mids) and had taken 23 marks in total(9th in AFL). You can always say, "but that is only over 3 games not over a long period, needs to show it for longer", but what i'm getting at is he is still only 21 and he will quite probably have a breakout season down back for us this year, and to have him locked away early will take a lot of distractions away for the remainder of the year for everyone involved, and a lot of worrying away from supporters
  18. KC, was Jarryd Drew playing in one of the practice matches today? and if so how did he go?
  19. How Nathan Jones missed out is beyond me! he made it into 50th place last year, has a better year this past year and yet misses out!
