Brad green was 184cm, and tim membrey is 188cm. Brad green, while not being a dominant forward was still able to hold his own and kick a couple of goals a game for us as well as moving through the middle a bit, and I think membrey could be similar for us as green was.

Are you seriously going to right him off after 2 bad kicks in one game? You obviously haven't been paying much attention to him in any other games. One of the best rebounding half backs in the AFL.

The difference between ling and most great players is he wasn't blessed with great skills from the start. He had to work very hard to improve himself and got the absolute most out of himself. I'd like to think as a coach he might be able to do the same with others.

I know this is an old thread but only just saw it. I got the game as soon as it came out, and was very disappointed by it. Game play wasnt even close to afl live 1. Far too slow, and can't keep the play moving at a good pace, and if you choose the option to have your defenders stick to their man, you still find them 20-30m away in no mans land, same thing with the computer defenders, changing the option seems to have no impact. They should've sticked with the melbourne guys at big ant (made afl live 1) and just updated the graphics and put in the career mode and we would've finally had a decent afl game to enjoy, instead of turning to a company (wicked witch) that is mostly focused on rugby games.

There was another with the hawks, last week i think. Hale grabbed the ball, saw the player to his right coming, turned and lowered his head and got the free. Pisses me off so much when players get a free for rubbish like that.

Fair points. But he is pretty much the same size as crameri just doesn't quite have the muscle on him yet. While crameri doesn't set the world on fire, he still does his role and kicks about 2 a game. If membrey could do that then he'd be doing his job, and he wouldn't be getting the first defender in our fwd line. Probably 3rd or 4th best behind Dawes, hogan and possibly Pedersen depending on which position he is played.

Time membrey? Kicked 41 goals in the Neafl so far this year and can't get a game in the swans fwd line. Worth a go at getting him?

Wouldn't mind getting zac smith from gc if possible. Would fit the bill for us in targeting another ruck, which was mentioned a while back but can't remember by who. He's got great pace and is, or atleast was when he was drafted, their fastest player over 20m. Greatly athletic. Missed some footy over the past year, so he won't be at his best yet, so now would be the time to try for him as we could possibly get him for less.

Melbourne vs Richmond? Or was that the game mentioned as an annual game the day before Anzac Day?

I would like to think so. He deserves to get it at some point, as does JKH

It was ultimately us who cost us the game, but wow the umpires in that game can go jump off a cliff!

Amazing effort to nearly knock off the top team. Better team on the day, just little mistakes here and there cost us. The negativity that was in the match day thread towards the end though was pissing me off! WE nearly knocked off TOP SPOT! If someone had've even suggested that we could do that this time last year, they would've been admitted into a mental ward! Just be grateful for how far we've come in such little time.

Adelaides, brisbanes, essendon, freo, melbournes, ports and richmonds are all pretty good looking jumpers. Carltons and collingwoods are ordinary, and geelongs, gc and GWS are easily the worst in there. The rest don't really stand out or look bad imo

If he really is looking at leaving them we should throw everything at him. To be all australian in a team like GWS and at 19 is amazing! Would be a great addition to our fwd line and to have him, Dawes and hogan in there would be great, and as BBB said, if neeld and schwab could sell the dees to Clark then roos and pj should be able to do it better especially now that we can be seen as going in the right direction.

Any team is beatable on their day, but I can't see us getting up

It's always a good sign when we are finding it hard to find a player who should be dropped for someone else

That crameri free towards the end really hurt us. But credit to the dees, played good tough footy, we deserved to win and were the better team on the night and if it hadn't ve been for the few lucky goals for the bulldogs and the soft frees that went their way we would've won by about 20pts. Disappointing but there is Richmond next week which could be a win for us.
