  1. Boo yah good to see common sense won in the end
  2. I didn't have access to the telecast, but I don't think I have ever refreshed the superfooty page as much as I did tonight in the last qtr! Great win for the boys. Is great to see that when n jones is down that we now have others who can pick it up and do what he so often does. GO DEES!
  3. Good to see Salem get involved early and presenting well. Was a good first kick to Dawes, which should've ended with Dawes getting a free.
  4. If it wasn't for that 2nd qtr we could've won. Won 3 out of the 4 qtrs, and yes they were inaccurate, but it doesn't matter, 3 qtrs won are still 3 qtrs won! Dawes, Crawley and jones were easily our best imo followed by viney. Would've been good if Dawes was more accurate, but he hasn't had any preseason so I'll cut him some slack. Flawless goal on the run was very nice. jones was best for us and was the one who kept us in it all day and got us to a possession where we could've won it, unfortunately it wasn't to be. As for the umpiring, that free kick given to ablett was a disgrace. That happens at every stoppage all the time and nothing ever happens, but because it's ablett they just "had" to give a free to him. the same umpire made a huge number of shocking decisions, and while a fair few didn't go our way a fair few still went our way when they weren't there.
  5. has there actually been a side go through a whole season winless? if not then i won't be surprised to see us become the first. This side is a disgrace at the moment!
  6. www.afl.com.au/news/2014-03-30/garletts-wafl-lifeline The title on the afl website was demons emerge as Garlett lifeline! I almost had a mini heart attack was I saw it :/
  7. 1 Fremantle 2 Sydney 3 Hawthorn 4 kangaroos 5 Richmond 6 Collingwood 7 Geelong 8 GCS 9 Adelaide 10 Carlton 11 Port 12 West Coast 13 Melbourne 14 Essendon* 15 brisbane 16 Bulldogs 17 GWS 18 St Kilda * Essendon is so low due to a large number of their players being suspended during the season. - wanted to be able to put melbourne up around where we were under bailey, but i can't see us improving so much that we overtake the teams above us.
  8. the game was great friday night. The atmosphere and noise at the ground seemed like far more than the 12000 that were there. The major difference i noticed from the very start was that the ball movement was far more central than it ever was last year. We did go around the boundary at times, but it was far more inboard which opened up options in the fwd line. We took our time when we had the ball if there wasn't an immediate option, and there was far less bombing the ball fwd and simply hoping for the best. JKH was a live wire in the fwd line, was always good when near the ball. Seemed like he had more than 13 disposals. Will be good to see what he can do when we have a few big talls in there. It was great to see n.Jones wasn't the only mid. 10 players with 20 or more disposals. much improved on last year. Spencer didn't seem to have a great night, but his chase and tackle on the wing was great for a big man. It should've been a bigger win, considering our inaccuracy in the 1st qtr, but it was still a great effort from all the boys. GO DEES, keep it up.
  9. where can you park when watching training? tomorrow might be my first time going and I can't think of anywhere.
  10. I'll change my name from "YDE" to "Dawes Open" if thats alright? just so its the same in both SC and dreamteam
  11. have also heard that you guys have picked up daniel welsh from eastern ranges. heard it from daniel himself. good choice!
  12. vision of him breaking his leg. Ouch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAU7u5MWFyA
  13. I've heard that Jarryd Drew, on Casey's list, is a possible draft or rookie for us this year. Have heard this around school from his mates and a couple of teachers at school, don't know if it has any substance though.
  14. I think Colin at his best is definitely better than Vince, but he produced so rarely that i think Vince will be a win as he is far more consistent and can still have a big game here and there.
  15. Wherever Roos wants him. If thats on the wing then so be it. He has the skills and speed to be on the wing, just needs to get a bit of mongrel in him. there were a few games this year where he really showed some physicality which was great to see.
  16. ok was just wondering, because my brother is currently the general manager of the footy ops there now.
  17. played 1 full season for hill End footy club in the 4ths (U/16), then had a season off, came back the next season in yr 11 (U/18's) and damaged my A/C joint in my shoulder 4 games into the season and haven't gone back since, but i do still have the urge to. Was never all that good, was played either along the HFF or either BP/FP. Highlight was kicking my 1 and only goal, crumbing off our FF.
  18. Trust me when i say this, his kicking is very good. i've seen video footage of him and seen him at the GF and from what i've seen very rarely misses his targets.
  19. I definitely think he's good enough to go in the main draft, He tore the stingrays a new one in the GF. He's driven to get the most out of himself, so if he was to miss the main draft and go in the rookie draft, i think that would just push him on more.
