  1. well atleast melbourne hasn't lost to GWS or GC
  2. There was vision of spencer going full pelt after a player in the last couple of games and he looked just as fast as anyone in the comp! it would be interesting to see how he went going around corners though at the pace he was going for somebody with a frame of his size! I hadn't seen him on the field for some time and was surprised by how solid he looked! I really liked what i saw of him today and he has a great work ethic, and as neeld said "he won't die wondering" so he obviously has a great work ethic, it would be nice to see his hard work rewarded. good luck to him
  3. Melbourne dominated GCS in the first quarter and should've been in front even further! i felt GCS had the better of us after 1/2 time but they were extremely wasteful!
  4. awesome!!! 2 of the most important players for melbourne heading into the future GO DEES!!!
  5. I'll be sure to do that! GO DEES!!!
  6. This guy goes to my school and I wouldn't expect many people to have heard of him but he plays for Gippsland Power in the TAC cup and has been the deputy vice captain all year. He has a MASSIVE engine already (14-15+ beep test) and while he is not the fastest player, he will run all day. They have had him playing at full forward all year with stints on the wing, but for me it seems a bit of a waste as he would be suited to the wing area more often with his endurance and also he is not quite the size of a FF (188cm, 78kg), although he has failed to kick a goal only once for the year! He is quite a good user of the ball when he is on the wing and has quite a decent leap and can take pack marks if needed although he has said they're not his thing. He has had an agent for a large part of the year and has had interest from rival clubs. I think he seems quite a good fit for us as we have a few players who can get the ball on the inside and so he seems like he could slot in well as he could be an outside player who uses the ball well. He's also a Dees supporter! Tom Muir Any thoughts?
  7. I had no idea his injury was that bad! hope it works out for him
  8. yeah we do need more of it. Bartram may not be the most gifted of all footy players but what he lacks in that area he makes up in his determination. he is quite a good role model in that aspect.
  9. I truely hope you're right as at his best he can be one of the most damaging players in the comp
  10. definitely Jeremy howe! he takes a contender for mark of the year each game he has also proven this year that he is not only a leaping, high marking forward but he can also push up to the wing and have a good influence up their. it may be too early to tell but i think we have no reason to say that he will not develop into a true star! Jack watts and Jones and Clark have all been shining lights for us too
  11. I don't disagree with you, but i think Davey is on his last legs. yes he has had a few injuries during the last couple of seasons but he is getting a bit older now (near 29) and it is going to be tough for him to get himself back, however if he can get through an injury free pre-season he may be able to get back to near his damaging best and help us through through the dark time we have found ourselves in.
  12. ok so i got that wrong :/ i need to do my research a bit more still he's worth his weight in gold in my opinion
  13. I couldn't agree with you more BH r.e. Stef Martin, i truely think he is an invaluable player for us. he is still a very young player, very athletic and he has super agillity and pace for a man of his size and he does a fair job of the ruck! he proved this to us when Jamar was down injured for most of last yr and has again this year! he has a lot of upside
