  1. One was off the ground in a pack. Another was when he was alone in the 50 metre arc and there was a turnover. I think the third was from a free kick but I'm not sure
  2. Must be about time for the MRO to announce its decision on this
  3. The Casey match is now confirmed for Saturday at noon Interestingly the game is at Box Hill Oval and not at Bulldog's home ground
  4. He's okay but he's not fast anymore. What he will do is draw the number 1 tall defender thus allowing JVR a better chance. At Casey he was playing deep in the main which won't work at AFL level. It's about balance. Had Melksham not been injured he would have been challenging for Smith's spot. We need to beat the Pies simply because we have no more tall forwards in the cupboard and each game carries an injury risk
  5. GWS should easily beat the Saints. The others are genuine 50/50 games with Lions shading Port simply because of home ground advantage. The same for Carlton over Sydney
  6. If Petracca is going to play forward 70% there could be a role.
  7. There will be a story every day. Luckily Carlton are still in it but Collingwood drive viewing numbers. AFLW starts this weekend but you'd hardly know it
  8. Without this injury JM would have been offered another year simply because our forward stocks are so low. Hopefully it's the 12 week type of knee problem rather than the 12 month one. Does raise the issue of insurance/compensation for players like JM and Dunstan who are both facing a loss of income from final year or country football etc
  9. Grundy played almost full time ruck on Sunday. The forward experiment was nowhere to be seen other than in the last quarter when he was resting. The idea of a half each has merit though
  10. This is the conundrum. The Thursday night game means that those who play in the Casey game will probably only have a five if not 4 day break. Realistically it means the likes of TMac and possibly Grundy won't play. Same for Hibberd Another example of the VFL comp not doing what it should. We could ask for a Friday night VFL game perhaps
  11. Maybe.. do you give him a run against he bulldogs (VFL) or not. If we get the Thursday night QF it may preclude the Casey hit out
  12. GWS will have no issues with the Saints... almost a free hit
  13. Rucked about 75% with relief from Schache who played down back and occasionally Verrall
  14. An absolute master class that included taps to players, taking the ball from the ruck, groundball follow up and of course 3 goals
  15. Yes... against Bulldogs Will be interesting to see if we play TMac, Tomlinson and Laurie in that match. After the Fritsch scare they won't dare play him Spargo's game at Casey was just okay. Jordon was arguably BOG
  16. Jordon, Grundy TMac and AMW with a special mention to White Jefferson had he kicked straight as well. Overall a great performance by them all. Hopefully we have a big supporter turn out next week. Do you play TMac at Casey next week?
  17. Great game by Casey Play like that again next week and there might be some tough decisions for the AFL selection committee
  18. Jordon arguably BOG at Casey and TMac with 5 goals
  19. Not sure why you don't rest players if you are going to play so many out of position. So much for the required match play. Grundy giving a ruck masterclass at Casey today
  20. Grundy giving a rucking masterclass
  21. Will he play next week is an interesting question (assuming Casey win)
  22. Let the Practice Game begin TMac has kicked 3 at Casey in the first quarter BTW
  23. Good game Up and down the corridor. Not the usual boundary hugging
  24. Grundy opening ruck so the experiment is over
  25. Welcome to the Irrelevant Round
