  1. Macca when you say Internationals do you mean owned from overseas or simply bred overseas. Not sure but it seems that we don't see as many of the visiting internationals any more. Strange given the ease of transport but I suppose it's the old quarantine problem. Good luck to the Demon Zephyr !
  2. Looking forward to seeing the match at Coburg next Sunday hopefully after a great win at the G on Sunday. MFC members get in for $5 and it's a lovely old ground.
  3. Any chance of some pictures of the billy cart race Josh. Sounds like a wonderful event. Corowa is a beautiful town. Dees by 38 !
  4. The St Kilda defender played Brown from behind which is normal for the punch/spoil etc. The problem is that Brown has a good vertical leap and a wide enough body to keep the defender behind him. Needs to be played perhaps from the side and preferably as a 2 on 1. Easily said but can we do it. Lose to Norf next week and I along with others will go into melt down. They simply are not that good !
  5. they are competing with taxis , uber etc not to mention the many alternative parking services. There is a fine balance between the price of parking and the point when people opt for an alternate. As I mentioned earlier the airport car park is a serious money making concern.
  6. Hadn't thought that before ...... how depressing
  7. Saints are one of two or three teams we play twice this year ......... mmmmmmmmmm
  8. surely this is the year we beat Norf
  9. Saints are generally thought of being around 8-12. Personally I never saw it. I wonder whether the pundits really understood the effort other teams put into Riewoldt which allowed the other St Kilda players to prosper. Montagna rarely had a bad game either
  10. Have watched Gus closely at a few VFL games and he always wears a serious face on the bench. A big contrast to say JKH who is full of infectious enthusiasm when on the bench. Not sure there is anything to read into it but I hope Gus does enjoy his footy.
  11. okay ... I give up .... who is Tickets? Ah ... now I see it ...... Myki Mykelti Lefau
  12. ah thank you .. how monty python like .... apparently the Bulldogs stuffed up allowing one of their suspended players to play in a VFL practice match and thus he cannot play this week in the AFL. Seems that even the clubs have difficulties with the intricacies of the rules.
  13. And Spargo goals.... Suspect Frankston is a bit like the Bears in their early days and did not exactly get the cream of the crop ... not their fault and all the best to them. Go young Fidge
  14. glad to see I have lot lost my mind... I was sure this game had been listed for Frankston but it was moved to Casey in the last few days
  15. Hannan got one as well off the ground.... good to see we have a twitter feed !!
  16. Funny if it was not so true MR! Remember that no one actually saw the sandpaper being used. It was merely in Bancroft's pocket like the stuff in the Bomber's fridge. Oh what a great tribunal the AFL put together !
  17. Was thinking about the song of the week in keeping with the upcoming match. Hopefully Teddy Bear's Picnic is not the theme. Perhaps the "Lion Sleeps Tonight" Any suggestions?
  18. At least we have the squad from the Casey website: Match details Casey Demons v Frankston Casey Fields, Cranbourne East Friday, March 30 12pm No Surname First Name 1 KEILTY Declan 4 FREEMAN Tom 9 GENT Mitch 11 SPARGO Charlie 13 WAGNER Corey 18 LOCKHART Jay 19 HANNAN Mitch 25 BRAYSHAW Angus 27 SCOTT Angus 30 LEWIS Mitch 31 KENT Dean 32 BRIGGS Jaxon 33 MACHAYA Cory 36 KENNEDY-HARRIS Jay 38 SMITH Timothy 40 JOHNSTONE Dion 41 LEFAU Mykelti 44 SMITH Joel 47 FILIPOVIC Lachlan 48 PETTY Harrison 52 FROST Sam 53 DWYER Sean 59 MORRISON Ryan 63 BALIC Harley 65 WEIDEMAN Sam 68 BYERS Kieren 71 BAKER Oscar 72 KING Mitch 73 WHITE Mitch
  19. Not a gambler but do they ever post the size of the pool like the TAB used to do? Just interested in whether games attract punters in proportion to the team followings or otherwise.
  20. Jenkins is a key player .. could easily have had 6 goals in the first half. Betts had some good patches by way of contesting the ball etc but was not dominant on the scoreboard. As dl4e mentions Richmond's forward line did not really function. Hope our strategy people were there working on our plan for Anzac Eve. Out of interest has Martin ever been tagged?
  21. Bancroft's press conference was an example of what we should have got from the Essendon players. It goes a long way in healing the hurt suffered by the Australian public. I will have no problem welcoming him back to cricket when he has served his suspension.
  22. Hope Brayshaw gets to play in the Casey game and is not an emergency
  23. Looking forward to tonight's game. In last year's GF the Tigers were excellent in forcing Adelaide wide. This had the affect of sending many of the Crow's rebound plays over the boundary with the ensuing 50/50 throw in. What tactic will the Crows use tonight to ensure that it does not happen again.
