good point but a thinking coaching team would have designated one player from each group.. back, mids, forward etc to be responsible for on field enforcement of the gameplan. Doesn't need to be the captains but more the players who have some tactical sense. You also have to remember that with four players on the bench rotating constantly that messages aren't too hard to get out. Smacks of yet another lame excuse to me.

simple.... if he stays out of contract and is not traded he goes into the PSD where any club (in order of bottom to top) can elect to take him at his stated price. If that happens we get nothing but Frost is not guaranteed to get to his desired club. The alternative is that whoever wants him trades for him

interesting comment.. no idea which is better but I suspect salary cap and term of contract wise you may not be too far off the mark. After paying overs salary wise for Tom Mac and Brayshaw last year we're not as flush as some may think. Then again no club is. Hawks , Geelong and Richmond have an inbuilt benefit because they are seen as real premiership chances and players will take say 10% less to be there.I expect the same goes for WA born players playing for WC.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the role and position of a wingman in modern football? The defensive zone on a kick out generally positions the forward as the last player in the zone and he is usually no more than 80metres from goal. Mind you I have much the same problem with the half forward line. Centre is just another name for a midfielder.
