I think you've argued this well 'Dee' and backed it up with solid logic. As much as the defeats really p... me off, there have been changes made to the game and we are still building the list. ...and I know others don't like it but the fixture hasn't helped us. The one are I get really angry with Goodwin is on selection, some decisions defy logic. ...as an aside, I did love seeing him emotionally involved in the game on the weekend rather than his boring poker face look. I hope we see a lot more of it.

I'm not sure this is right 'Cranky'... Now that tackling has been cleaned up you are unlikely to get concussed in congested play. Concussions are more likely to occur in marking contests and accidental contact with players running at speed in more open spaces. They can't get the momentum in congested play to cause concussions and now sling tackles and head high hits have for the most part been taken out of the game I can't see this adding to the problem.

Anyone thinking Saad is worth a first rounder have rocks in their heads... Not a chance...2nd rounder is about right but I would be looking elsewhere to be honest.

My favourite line from commentators... "He disguised it well" Then they go into meltdown when a player gets called on it.

I definitely think they need to send their camera crews up but as for commentary I don't think it would make much difference to the standard. It has been poor for years. They never comment about anything going on out of camera view anyway. I don't know why but the expert commentators only tell us what we can see on our own screens and never give real insight. The ball by ball commentary will improve if the camera follows the play.

I suspect they are using local camera people. Not schooled in AFL. It's pretty obvious as they often lose the ball. No feel for the game. If they're are using Vic crew then we've got big problems... I hope they can sort it for the finals.

We should work on getting Phillips across from the Pies...that's where my energy would be headed. I know he's contracted but they need cap space and he's a great 2 way runner like Langdon plus can hit the scoreboard.

The word is that Collingwood have a very tight salary cap and need to re sign Moore and De Goey.... Some players will be squeezed out. Phillips (even though contracted) could be getable and would be a great compliment to Langdon. Another hard running wingman.

Believe it or not Goodwin tried him there and it didn't work. He's not the player Daniel's is...same stature but nowhere near the player. I think he will be a fringe back up forward and be in and out as long as his career goes on.

With the Hawks tanking and something not right at GWS it's hard to see us making it. Destiny as always was in our own hands but now we rely on others. Will be a miracle to make it from here but miracles do happen.

Great player 'dazz'...somethings not right at GWS at the moment. The list they have v the footy they'e playing. I guess we're the team to play them back into form. Was there some animosity about the way he got the Captaincy??? Whatever it is he's struggled to get back form after a long lay off with injury. To answer the question posed...would I have him? Yes, of course. Is he on the market? I highly doubt it.

Does Nev go to Greene 'titan'??? he's got the physical strength and game smarts, Greene is not lightning. Surely we wouldn't play Hunt or Salem on him. Maybe Smith but I hope not.

Someone of that stature definitely. ...but maybe someone who was going to stick around for the long haul. Not put a time limit on it. Maybe we were so focussed on Roos we overlooked someone else. Maybe we should have got a longer commitment from Roos or moved on to another target if he couldn't/wouldn't give it.

Hindsight is a wonderfull thing. Many may not agree but the Roos appointment may not have been such a great move. We were so keen to get him that he came totally on his terms, the big one being his expiry date. Because of this I suspect some decisions were rushed. Dew was the man he wanted but it turned out we couldn't get him. Time was running short and we went for Goodwin, someone that Roos didn't know. Loved Jackson but I think he had tunnel vision in the pursuit of Roos and it maybe costing us now. Of course this has then been compounded by Bartletts decision to extend the Goodwin contract.

'dazz', I think he is a 3rd tall type. He would be competing with Melk, Fritsch and Hannan..and would be an upgrade in his attack on the ball. He's a bit taller but still really not a KPF. Not sure he's where we should be spending our chips.

That's garbage 'Dr'...our forward line worked so much better with him in it.

Did anyone know that Duggan is from Bacchus Marsh and was coached by Dougie Hawkins??? Who would have guessed.
