That will probably be the case unless Smith has a big year... We still need to have depth players who can fill a role and with Oscar moving on and a few others then Smith is obviously being kept as a hold for next year.

Culture is a myth in this case... Just take a look at their Premiership coach (not Scott the other one) to understand that. Drugs are rife in all AFL clubs 'bobby', that one got out of the bag a long time ago and isn't going back any time soon.

No club in the competition are cleanskins 'bobby'... If any club had a no illicit drug policy & really went hard to enforce it they wouldn't be able to field a team.

We need to bring another wingman in to pair with Langdon. Polec seems an obvious choice... I would also look at Phillips but as '@DeeSpencer' tells me Phillips may be too similar to Langdon and we could do with something a bit different. I don't see Hannan filling the spot and we don't have another season to waste trying to find out. We need to bring someone in.

If we can get a good deal for Preuss I would take it. I'm not convinced in him as a good ruck option anyway...nor of his trade value. Surprising many on here seem to overvalue him substantially as the 2nd coming of Grundy or the like. ...but if someone is willing to pay the price we can use the pick or trade for a player we need. Then look to picking up a back up ruck from the state leagues.

So the real question is...who choses the selectors? That's a really average committee. I think the Eagles 1 year deal is about right. If anyone wants to offer more good luck to them. It wouldn't be a smart move.
