  1. Just thought I might put this in here if that's ok 'joeboy'... Where are all those Oliver can't hurt you knockers tonight? Hah, hah, hah...
  2. For someone who is a beautiful kick of the ball he is frustrating to watch missing getable shots. Like you, I'm sure it will click for him... Let the knockers knock but we will have the last laugh 'dee-tox'
  3. Agree 'Red' and interestingly one of the commentators said when Scott approached the umps last year an expected please explain was not forthcoming from the AFL. Remind me...who runs the AFL footy department? and who did he play for? mmmm Yes it's a conspiracy theory but in all honesty they need to be seen to do the right thing and they don't. Is it any wonder fans don't trust the AFL to do the right thing. Scott should be hauled over the coals for this... ...by the way, I was hoping a player did go up and get in his face and then see his reaction.
  4. I was furious with them anyway...they were in danger of ruining a good night watching footy.
  5. So what's all that got to do with him being slow??? How does this back up your point. Just go off on another rant...
  6. I kind of agree 'Macca', but those poor decisions were the icing on the cake and put a dampener on the night for me. If Brisbane had of won it would have been a steal. Fagan was part of the problem (needs to rip into himself), he was badly out coached by Scott all night and capped it off beautifully by allowing a rookie to contest Hawkins 20 out from goal in the dying stages that resulted in a goal. The game was played on Geelong's terms and the Lions never got any quick ball movement going...yes it's a bit harder on the narrow Kardinia Park oval but they (Lions) didn't even try to break the game open. They got back into it with a couple of individual efforts (McLugage) and some tired old Cat legs... On tonights showing I'm not sure either of these teams are a threat this season.
  7. You got it right 'Ethan'...those crystal balls are working well tonight...
  8. Brisbane have played right into Geelong's hands and let them take the speed out of the game. Pathetic to date, but not helped by a few gift goals at the end of the Q.
  9. At the moment Cripps is a liability with the ball moving around the park so quickly. They might need to recast his role as his strength, which is in congestion has been taken from him and now he's become an average plodder. With the emphasis on plodder. The only time he looked dangerous was a couple of times in the ruck contest which at the moment is still a wrestle that plays to his strengths. Maybe forward/ruck might be his go. It appears that the argument over who is the better mid, Cripps or Oliver might be settled fairly quickly this season.
  10. Probably not...but I don't think he offer anything unfortunately.
  11. Lack of space might not suit him... I hope you're right and I'm wrong though.
  12. He is a serious 'Merchant Banker' this guy...maybe the most punchable head in AFL, not that I'm condoning violence here.
  13. I'm on record as saying we should have gone after Phillips, in fact I think I was the first on here to mention the possibility. For whatever reason, we didn't make that move. ...so, now Brayshaw is probably our best bet. Certainly streets ahead of Baker. Hopefully one the kids will stand up and demand a shot but until then it looks like Brayshaw is the man.
  14. It worked pretty well on the weekend so lets wait and see...
  15. Harmes now out injured for 6 weeks with broken wrist...Viney for Harmes
  16. It might be the reason but it was only luck that saved Zanker. In this case the action should have been taken into account. You can't have tackles like that in the game. Personally I would have told her not to bother coming back this season. Set the standard now before it's too late.
  17. Only just had a look at that one...horrendous is right. Lucky not to do serious damage. Should have got multiple weeks for that one.
  18. Including the coaches it seems... I think they might have a better idea than you. See below example.
  19. '@binman'...the Cats have done the right thing by us. Our prediction is on track... Thought I should go the early Crow.
  20. ...but the point is, we did have them. They're a part of our team, it's why we got them...to replace Oscar & Frosty. Looks like a pretty good piece of list management. Saying something like what you are saying is like saying the Tiges don't win a flag without Dusty & .....
  21. I think he's being told to take more time and break into space...so many on here have criticised him for being too quick to handball in the past. I just don't think he has the balance right yet but will do and be a better player for it. Agree with 'A F' that he's key to our midfield. Tracc gets the glory but Oliver is every bit as important if not more so.
  22. I would say this..after a really promising debut season. Rivers - 2nd year blues I hope he can shake them
  23. We still get drawn to the ball...it's a big problem. Watching the dogs last night, they spread and give options. They do it so well. We have a long way to go.
  24. Yep, they've proven in other situations. They couldn't win without Rance (I actually thought that one) but have sailed through and it's like Rance who... They've won games without Jack and Cotch when they were a 3 player team. Couldn't cover the loss of the ruckman... Only had one key forward, no way you can win with that set up...did. They are a strong side as you say. How would they go without Graham and Lambert covering for Martin? They had the Cats on toast, we will never know how they would go without Martin.
  25. When I looked at the headline I thought..."what fool wrote this!" Well, I should have guessed.... I had a few other words censored, but basically meaning someone a bit challenged in the thought department...
