That's a bit cruel Col........I like saty's training reports........He is just a very dedicated supporter even if he goes over the top sometimes.......At least he doesn't put down players at every turn like some on here.

I just don't understand why posters get so carried away by draft picks......Pick 12 for a 23 year old who was considered by the FD at the time to be worthy of the captaincy for an 18 year old kid who might be ok in 2 or 3 years and lose another draft pick Dangerfield and Beams wont be coming to us Pick whatever will get you a 18 year old who has had no defensive training in the TAC comp, weather it is pick 1 or pick 60. A lot of the supposed trades put up are pure fantasy and wishful thinking. No I don't want Trengove to go as fully fit he is 5 years ahead of anyone from the draft no matter what the supposed "experts" say. I wont comment further on this thread until trade shambles is over

Yeah......Just like now........I know the business side of it is one thing........We have people who look after that, it's not my thing........I love to see the players that have started as young blokes develop and become great players through thick and thin........Trade week(or fortnight) FA, I just hate it but cannot stay away........My membership support is wanning.......

At the start of trade week......MFC stated that all players COULD be up for trade.....Including picks 2 and 3 Enquiries have been made by Richmond for one of those players......and is being considered by MFC and said player I don't believe that there is such a thing as a mega deal behind the scenes.......If this deal does not benefit the club....it will not happen I also believe in loyalty for without it we end up is the mess that the AFL is in these days...... I have been a member since I can remember...My mum even paid for a junior membership for me when I was still at school but when my favourite players are traded or retired a little bit of the support for the club dies....Woey, the Wiz, Jnr, I believe were stupid moves which I believe cost membership and support for the club. Am I old fashioned???........You bet but I don't support a business....I support a CLUB P.S. While I'm at it.......These posters that put up all these absolute idiotic trade senarios ....You have to get a life... P.P.S.........Every one is calling Griffen lots of names for being a captain and walking out of the Doggies......Yet want to trade out our ex Captain and most loyal player......I don't get it.

Mate...Not having a go at you but it can be said about any draftee with "potential"....You cannot pick a kid off some highlights on the internet Recruit staff at AFL clubs have followed these players since they were playing in the under 12's all draftees have "potential".....I agree that the draft is a lottery and pick 50 can turn out to be a star where as a No 1 pick can be a dud.....But that doesn't happen that often. Clubs can only pick the one that they think can be developed and hope that they got the pick right.....Someone has to go No 1 and some can think they are lucky enough to get on a club list....even for a year or two.

I don't get why everybody gets upset about how much he is getting.......The only people who KNOW how much a player is getting is the player, his manager, the club, the AFL, and his wife/girlfriend if she's lucky All the rest is pure speculation drummed up by the media.

Whilst I agree with most of your post rjay.......The season was not over in the first round.....We were with a whole bunch of clubs with the same number of wins up to about round 10......Richmond season was apparenty over when they lost to us on the MCG with only 3 wins finals were gone, somehow they ended up playing finals...

Yes you're right.......If they are not star after 2 years....Wipe em....Trade em.....get rid of them and then start it all over again. Then you can complain (again) about our terrible admin, coaches and footy dept right back to the sacking of Norm Smith, I bet if you followed GWS you would've sacked Dom Tyson after his first year.and by your logic there would be no development of any players at all......Would have all been sacked

I didn't go to one game this year OD.....Watched on tele or just got the scores on the computer I always thought soccer was frustrating and boring....well footy is becoming the same.....No goals in quarters or halfs , players that I really liked...Gone. I will remain a member but find going to the footy a bore.

The way things are going, there will be club legends no more..... Can I clarify a few things.... When did MFC offer a contract to MC? When did MFC offer a rookie spot? Who has stated that the said contract is more or less than MC wanted? All this crap started yesterday when Mitch's agent said he was interested in making a comeback He has met with the coach ONCE for preliminary chat after training with MFC training staff The media is in free fall over One statement by said agent that MC is/was keen to get back and now all of a sudden he is going to Hawks/StKilda/and everyone else The club is not happy that all this has come out Posters are calling MC everything under the sun Have I got this right?????

I have just read the last 10 pages of drival ...(7 new replies as I type) 1/ MFC has the responsibility to make sure MC is able to "come back" 2/Just because he is feeling better does not make it a certainty that he will 3/Talks between him and Roos would have been about his health and wellbeing 4/Yes he misses playing but can he handle all the rest of the training and BS that goes with it 5/If Roos comes out and says "god we want him back....Does that not put more pressure on him I watched 360 and took Roos at his word about what went on.....He is not about to tell anyone on Tv what is happening or his thought process. Think a few people need to settle down.
