I reckon British Bulldog was the most popular game at my school......Til it was banned so we took to the next best which was footy....

I just happened to watch a game from 1993 on Fox last night.....It was a game Coll Vs StK at Victoria Park, normally I wouldn't bother as I dislike both teams but I really enjoyed the type of footy they played Umpires paid free kicks when they were there........Forwards played in the forward line......The play on footy was fantastic......Players actually kicked to contests where some great high marks were taken......The advantage rule was interpreted correctly........Players stayed on the ground after they kicked a goal........Rocca, Pert, Monkhouse, Vs Lockett, Lowe, Frawley..............It was tough and hard and a few blood rules came into play. It was the game where Winmar pulled up his jumper to show the Coll faithful the colour of his skin. Drew Morphet and Peter McKenna commentating I really enjoyed the couple of hours watching......So much more than the game of footy played today I think with all the fitness gurus regulating how many minutes players can play and GPS results have stuffed up this game of ours Anyway.....just thought I would share.........I really miss those days

It bemuses me, the petty infighting on a footy internet site We lose......Sack everyone We win.......What great champions the players are and all will be 200 game players Watched a few games on the weekend.....We are not the only team that makes mistakes.......Some very experienced players for the higher teams made some glaring errors....Ie...stuffed up kicks,handballs, fumbled Saty has his opinions, others don't agree..........but posters get into name calling and insults which really is a bit silly because what does it really matter. It's a mine is bigger than yours thing. We all have opinion.....we all have our favourite players and the ones we think are not up to it........But to belittle another poster because you don't like what he said is childish and petulant. Sorry.......Rant over

Late last year I went to the US(New York)....Took a quick flight to Niagra falls.......Very cold for Oct/Nov A couple of weeks later I saw a newpaper article and photo where the falls had frozen over.....The place where I had been sitting taking photos was covered in ice and snow and icicles hanging from the hand rails Now that's cold.

I just want to know how anybody but Hogan and the club knows his salary........It give me the Sh*ts when dollar amounts are put up as fact because someone reckons this is what he is getting As far as I know not one player in the AFL has disclosed what they get paid............The media, supporters,(So called) experts, somehow know everything about a players contract????? It's just guess work at its worst.

Played 25 games......Kicked 30 goals 26 behinds.....Was delisted and re rookied and then has an injured foot which cost him the rest of his last year He seemed to me that he never had the confidence in himself to make it as an AFL player Hope he does really well at Norwood.

It seems to work at Hawthorn........A few years ago the Casey players were always in the named best players.....they were winning and played finals Some bad admin has cost the club money and players Now the MFC players are the most experienced and they are just kids themselves playing along side more kids from the TAC and other minor comps It's no wonder they are getting smashed

I don't understand the outrage of Frawley waiting until the end of season to sort out his contract........It is becoming the usual for UFA's to do this He has gone from being a best 22 player in our side, to posters who want to get rid of him because he wont show loyalty and now he has become a surplus to our needs..... Posters have no hesitation in wanting to get rid of players wether by trade or delisting because they think they are spuds(God I hate that word) He would get a game in every other side in the competition but somehow we don't need him now????? He is a KPD who can kick goals when needed.....A 100 game experienced big player who is only 26 and has at least 4 or 5 years left I want him to stay and I think we need him to.....

So by that logic, Petrie should be sacked because he can't kick .....same as McDonald???

So let me get this straight......You want to get rid of McDonald AND Frawley.......Can you please tell me who are going to replace them??? And don't tell me the draft......A skinny 18 year old.....Anyone else????

Just back from Bali......Managed to see the games in a few sports bars.....Coming back to this freezing weather after sitting on the beach wearing shorts and singlets and drinking beers has warts all over it

The problem is that Casey is broke.....A lot of very good VFL players left the club and now the VFL players are very young coming from players that didn't get drafted and just out of junior leagues

Hawthorn back Shoenmakers when he was pretty bad in his first two seasons......I reckon we can back Macca who will improve as time goes on......He has only played 50 odd games in a side that couldn't win a solo race this time last year People want champions NOW .....I reckon we will give him time.....He has improved from last year and the footy dept will agree

Big experienced players that have proved themselves.....worth a lot What if Dunn goes down or McDonald?.....You can't replace key position players with mid fielders no matter how good they are.

Gee Steve......That's Frawley and McKenzie that you don't like and are very over rated in your opinion Anyone else???? We have doubled our wins since last year and improved 100% I don't know what you expected this season but I have seen improvement over the whole team. Praise is warranted sometimes. Can you wait till we are thumped, then you can bag players to your hearts content...

Geez.....You've got to be kidding me.....Some people would trade Frawls for a pick 5,an 18 years old kid that will take 3 to 4 years to develop over a 100 game player who has been AA......The mind bogles.....

Maybe a few players got ahead of themselves.....This was a way of letting them know the way they are playing is not acceptable....

I have played, coached and been a part of 3 clubs at VFA and grass roots club level I haven't seen one re cent, in any of those clubs that, was donated by the AFL. The AFL mutter bulls**t about how much money they pour into "grassroots" footy and development of the game, but I am yet to see it The AFL couldn't give a rats arse about suburban or country footy and you just have to see many clubs folding through lack of resourses such as footys, players, jumpers etc etc So don't tell me the AFL are not just about money and profit.......It's all their about.....
