Not trying to be sarcastic P-man.....I do love Demonland My point was, can we at least see a couple of games in the real season before we pass judgement on players I like what I see with Vanders but have only seen one half of a practise match......Much to early to tell....Hope he does well.

Gee I love Demonland From what I have read this morning......Vander is a certainty for round 1 even though he is still a rookie and has played one half of footy in a practise match in March. Viney has been passed by all and sundry after his first game back in a practise match in March....Apparently his bull at a gate method does not now suit modern footy Can't wait for the next instalments after the Ess game Maybe Bail will be the next B&F winner after he stars next game or (place name of a maligned player here) stars.

Mate.....Please.....This isn't a p1ssing contest.....I have been a jrn and senior member for the past 50 years......I bought memberships even though I couldn't get to games because I was playing or in later years working I am an MCC member so don't have to be a member of the footy club but still buy a full membership I cried as a lad when Barassi left So how about you get off your soapbox and get off the angry pills......You'll feel much better.

Why would you rest him?...........He needs all the game time he can get.......No use wrapping him in cotton wool......He is an AFL footballer FCS and they need games under their belts before the real season starts....Surely. He has played 2 games in three years

I just don't get everyone's obsession to trade before the start of the season.....We have not played a game for points and all want to trade player out for some fanciful player from another side..... Howe has played 22 games last year for a total of 78 He has kicked 70 goals and 54 points in that time....He was also second in rebound 50 after Dunn for last year He was also 5th in kicks for the club last year....Also 2nd for marks taken and 1st for contested marks and 1st for short kicks He was also 6th in the b&f and received 2 brownlow vote. So the crap about being a one trick pony is exactly that. He also played in defence last year, a position that he has never played before and I thought played it well.

I have never understood the reason for clash jumpers.....I didn't have a problem with it watching mud splatted players on bogs of grounds, even the TV replays in black and white. We now have Digital TV's which display clearer and detailed pictures and play on perfectly manicured grounds and we are now told that we are so dumb that we cannot tell the difference between players. Give me a break

Well last year I saw JONES,VINCE,TYSON,DUNN all stuff up kicks yet no one says much about it I get that you don't like GRIMES but I saw that a lot of his kicks are pretty good and only the clangers get mentioned. Add to that, if you watch a lot of footy you will see that most players stuff up kicks and cause turnovers, even the so called great players So how about we watch the season unfold before saying he should be dropped/delisted.

I don't think there is any rush to promote the rookies......The main season is still 5 weeks away you can do it at any time through the season......When they are up to playing senior footy.

I don't think Brian Lake's first game at Hawthorn set the world on fire but he now has 2 premiership medals..... I don't think Buddy's first game with the swans was world beating either....And there has been many others who haven't stared in their first games. I don't get the glee of some posters have because Chip played badly in his first game with the Hawks.

I guess that all clubs are trying to get a full list available for Round 1.....which is still 5 weeks away....and will build their players up to get to that point I actually trust the medical dept these days

Wow.....You seem a bit bitter Col B.....I don't know why you think having a few drinks off season is unusual for young blokes......I know of a lot of AFL players who go out til the early hours even in season....I admit that having a water with a Bikie is probably not the best idea. I don't think they were arrested or were drunk at the time of the photo and I take it you presume that their lives are headed for rack and ruin but its their lives and they can do whatever they want to They would have earned a fair bit of money in their playing days....So good luck to them. I always liked Sylvia and Beamer and was disappointed when they left, but that is footy these days. Anyhow........Neither plays for us anymore so my interest has wanned but I wish them both success.

Mate...I don't want to tie up or derail this thread He did not have a say in recruiting.....He did not choose the captains....He did not coach the team He did make mistakes....He was instrumental in the debt demolition with Jim....He was not the total reason we stuffed up Yes he had the interest of the club at heart but like many before him he failed...It's past....Learn from it and move on...Everybody else has.
