I don't think any of our new recruits will play seniors until around Rd 13 or 14 ... Just the feeling I get with Roos in charge ... They wont be played until their ready.

Clubs can't afford to have under 19's and Reserves.......Footy is now a 24/7 occupation you would have to pay money to these players. I agree with your views, it was a good system but it has past it's use by date

I think I remember David Williams being delisted and was to be re drafted as a rookie after he was injured......Richmond then picked him up......Didn't work out for them but it could happen again....

Pick 40 2010 Jacob Gilbee (G Coast) 6 games (prior to 2014 season) 2011 Tom Curran (Nth) 5 games 2012 Brodie Murdoch (StK) 0 games 2013 Jay Kennedy Harris(melb) 14 games(inc 2014) Hardly world beaters there at pick 40.....Just saying

Gee Sweet Dee......Do you want pick 40(Joe Bloggs) and pick 53(Fred Nerk) or do you want someone with AFL experience that has maybe been through a pre season or two and knows what is required but hasn't been able to get a game at a higher rated club??? People get so carried away with draft picks......Roos has consistently picked players that have experience and are older than 18 years old.... We will pick two youngsters at 2 and 3 I feel the rest will be a bit more matured.

I think, given Roos's previous form, we will only take picks 2 and 3 into the draft, any other pick will be upgraded rookie(Jetta) and delisted free agents. No inside knowledge.....just my opinion....

Mate I love some of your posts but....This constant MUST....MUST....Must do this and do that is getting a bit tiresome Do you not think that the players are not trying?....Do you think that the footy Dept is not doing all it can to win games? All these players, coaches, admin, bootstudders are human they have ups and down like all of us otherwise we may as well have robots out on the field. As you know all clubs have great games and very poor games (yes even Hawthorn). And how do you know that players did not push past the pain barrier? And just for the record CS did not start World War 2 I will remain a member

I don't understand why people are obsessed with the draft.....Paul Roos has never been keen on the lottery that is the draft.. I think he has shown that trading and picking up players with some sort of AFL experience over fresh faced kids coming from the TAC cup If we go to the draft with only 3 picks so be it.....I trust the footy dept to make the right calls now I have had enough of banking on draft picks to be the next star only to be disappointed later when they don't come on as expected. And then have posters complaining that we should have picked........instead of ........

God I love Demonland.......The place where posters can argue who we will pick up in the upcoming draft after watching 2 minutes of a highlight tape I will say, that I trust the footy dept to select the right players after extensive study into said players( we seem to have the right recuiting people in place now) I have no idea who is better than who as I don't watch highlight tapes I will take an interest on draft day and hopefully we will get 2 great kids who mature into greats for this club of ours and not be compared forever with the players taken later in the draft

By that bench mark no one would have touched Fev or Cloke

And when that player doesn't make it you will be the first to complain....I suppose....

So....If Mitch Clarke can overcome his foot injury and depression and get traded to where he wants....all on a pretty good wage..... I don't see any reason why Trengove can't We had MC for how many games????........How many soft tissue injuries did he have whilst attempting to make it back to footy????? Yet there was no one calling for him to be traded, delisted or anything but good wishes for his recovery.... So many posters just can't wait to eat our own.......All in the name of being "Ruthless"???

FFS .....This is the 21century There are such things as mobile phones,Skype, Face to Face ect ect ect Roos can be in contact at all times during the trade period......Would you prefer him to be on holidays when pre season training starts???? Just get over yourself.

Who the hell cares what draft pick it cost.......We got who we wanted. At the start of the trade period posters were giving away picks 2 and 3 for one player and were happy to do so. Seeing what trades some people were putting up were just crazy and so unrealistic. I have come to the conclusion that posters just want trades, trades and more trades no matter who they are....I don't get it We wont use PSD #2 so who cares.....If we pick anyone it will be through DFA.

So where do we pick up these A grade midfielder from?? According to Mahoney....we tried to off load 2 and maybe 3 but either clubs didn't want to let them go or the player concerned didn't want to come to us....Just wondering
