I watched him play on Saturday Old Dee and he was very good everything he did he he did well, he has improved his 1%ers dramatically and second efforts are appearing regularly. His disposal is top notch. However that was Saturday can't comment and what may have gone on Saturday night

Sorry Oucher if it came across that way re you saying our list was that bad my point being a lot of those players you mentioned on the Doggies and Swans lists prior to Eade taking over were potential. I was stating we have a lot of those and even if Eade comes in and succeeds people will say it is the list Neeld built, plenty of people saying the same before the Windy Pills saga about Knights building the Bombers list up for Hird to take over. Eade knows how to get players having confidence in their own ability, but he is not Robinson Crusoe Choco could do the same, Neeld unfortunately could not do it

Dunkley & O'Loughlin were nobodies before Rocket got hold of them, from my memory of 1996 he turned Stafford into almost the best ruckman in the league and he also made the likes of Luff, Matthews & Crouch into solid players. The Dogs under Rohde were almost as bad as we were under Neeld, it was he who turned Gilbee into a player when he was almost delisted under Rohde. Rockets game plan and ability to instil confidence into the group was a major factor. I don't cop all this our list is so bad it will take 5 years to sort out, don't kid yourself that our list is that bad, there are holes big holes but our list is bereft of confidence more than anything else and we can turn very quickly into a mid table side and good development can see us finals bound in 2/3 years

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Pennant St Dee replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Are you in the real world or just naive, Dees, Dogs, Power, North, Blues, GWS, Lions, Saints & Suns are going to jeopardise their AFL funding which is bankrolled by the television rights. If there is not 9 games a week the contract is null & void. It is not that simple hence the need for negotiation and a protracted process -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

Not really WYL, I have experience working in the area it is always there, it is not that easy and can be found. -
Thanks on a great career Flash with many highlights and memories left with us Demons forever. I still smile at the thought of how you burst onto the scene in 2004, when you made the footy world take notice and left defenders in panic knowing you were lurking in our forward 50 ready to pounce at any moment. Enjoy your well earned retirement and may you maintain a role within the game

Cheers, hadn't heard anything before about this only from Hardie tonight

Some word on 6PR Sports Today this evening in Perth from Brad Hardie that Roos advised Sydney today he would not be coaching the Academy Squad in 2014, anything being discussed in the east this afternoon/evening regarding this

Dean Cox didn't become a good kick till around 2004ish even he took 5 years in the system to learn how to kick

Jump up and down all you like, how do you know changes have not been made already and don't fool yourself yesterday would not have happended had the changes already been put in place.

Agree, and I don't think it is a put down to Jack in anyway, O'Meara for me is up there with Judd for 1st year impact, Viney for us is exactly what we need and will be a quality player, leader & culture maker for this club.

FFS Jones, Frawley, Garland, Trengove, Howe, Dunn all played that day. Howe has currency, Dunn whilst not being great serves a purpose, Garland has stood up all year, Frawley was playing well again under Craig till he got injured, Trengove wasting my time telling you about his worth, Jones gives his all for the club 1989 I believe it was Meth Coast kicked 1 goal in an absolute belting to the Bombers, the following year they played in a prelim, the year after they played in a GF before winning two of the next 3 flags WYL you need to think about things before you post don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, 10 or 11 of their Premiership sides played in that defeat by Methcoast

6. Viney - this kid is a footballer and has a lot of Joel Selwood about him in the way he wills himself to a contest and wants for his team to succeed 5. Trenners - showed what he can do worked hard as he always does but was rewarded for his effort today, JT this should be standard performance week in week out 4. Mckenzie - not talented but our midfield is better with him in there to provide the contest and nullify an opponent _ Fyfe today. 3. TMac - provided a good contest down back couldn't be faulted with goals from lace out delivery from Freo mids 2. Kent - I love this kid will get better the more time he spends in this environment, dropped off in the 2nd half as he tired 1 Dunn - same as TMac in providing 1 on 1 contest and has a lot of haters but IMO always provides an effort, despite brain fades Unlucky - Sylvia tried today but didn't really come off in a choice between he and JW for signature I will choose him every day of the week, Terlich gets plenty of it and always gives 100% but his disposal lets him down and teams hurt us the other way by feeding his direct opponent

No WYL PSD had to go out and watched the last quarter away from home, please tell me again those boys I named before didn't put effort in,, FFS they just aren't that good and its the likes of Watts, Sylvia and Howe who are meant to provide the polish are a big part of the problem. Sylvia does although look like he is having a crack now and again. Also not to mention the players we had out. But you stay true with calling them pea hearts because many will be playing for the next couple of years from that list I gave you. We play the Doggies on Sept 1st head along and see the boys play for the first time since round 2 if it means that much to you. You think you have higher standards than the rest of us you don't, you have short sightedness. That Freo side has a lot of very very average footballers who just play a system and the 6/8 quality players they have on their list, those players I named in the game day thread could fit very easily into that Freo side don't think for a minute they couldn't
-
You can say what you like about our lack of polish but anyone who has played at any level can see the boys are having a dip today and lazy is referring to the whole list as pea hearts. Nate Jones, Viney, Trengove, Garland, Mckenzie, Kent, Macdonald, Spencer, Terlich, Matt Jones & Fitzy all play with heart and that's just out of todays list. Be realistic FFS that is why you cop it on this site for continuously posting ridiculous comments

bread & butter footballers make good coaches sheedy malthouse lyon & clarkson
-
Pretty sure he's from Country Victoria, Bendigo/Castlemaine way possibly
-
Sorry Norm but trades are done before the draft so Adelaide would be taking a big gamble that Boyd would not be gone at Pick 1 and I wouldn't take that gamble giving up a player of Sloane's ability
-
I have seen the kid a couple of times and he is a good user of the ball, poised in tight and knows how to find it, tragedy for the kid, Freo have a top line midfield and he would get a gig (when fully fit) in most midfields. Maybe Rookie if available although he is highly rated at Fremantle
-
Kent had issues with being able to train regularly at Perth due to living in country WA, last season was his first real stint at Pre-season and that was somewhat modified, lot of upside in this kid
-
Really poor form when talking about one of our players, he may not have the best disposal and bad decision making, but you can never question his effort for the club. Warrants a bit more than being referred to as a parasite. Have a good look at yourself

That is nonsense Tim Watson was a leader but couldn't cut it as a senior coach, neither could Schimmelbusch who was another leader as a player, Royce Hart, Danny Frawley I could go on. Mick Malthouse and Kevin Sheedy dour defenders who ended up being great coaches. Ross Lyon & Alistair Clarkson average footballers but A grade coaches. I wont argue with you any more it is clear you don't rate Williams or Eade but I do and we are all entitled to our opinion
-
Brett Kirk would frighten more than excite me, less than a years experience in coaching having spent time in the media after retiring from senior footy. Would be a crazy idea and has danger written all over it given our current situation. Woey did a very good job at East Fremantle but there are better out there. Gavin Brown can't say much about him, assistant at Carlton was a good player who was a leader
-
Well BBB he was an individual!

Just on this point, Peter Sumich is an absolute dud as a coach and will remain employed in football because he is a threat to no-one. He was the midfield coach at Meth Coast with their dominant midfield of the mid noughties. I know that was a freak of a midfield combination but a lot to be said for our lack of cattle. Just for the record I am neither here nor there on Royal
