Hogan is All Australian at the halfway mark of the year. You don't drop him. You back him in to respond.
-
You wouldn't think so. Not with Hannan as well, and it would be tough to drop him.
-
Time to bring back Jeffy.
-
Nobody can train on the MCG. If you got there during the week you will see why. There are these solar devices that are all over the field to simulate the required sunlight that the grass needs. Cam Schwab posted it on his twitter once.

Much easier said than done. Especially if kicked to the fwds advantage.

Scores when you can for us overseas please

Gawn is clearly the better tap ruck, but Grundy has been amazing this year. Not unreasonable for Robbo to pick him. Looking fwd to Monday. There can only be one. Tipping Gawn to smash him in the hitouts and cement his place as AA.

I was always [censored] off how he didn't cop more [censored] for diving and trying do draw a free afterwards. The defence from the media was unbelievable.

Not naive at all. I analyse the fixture everyear and have seen the armchair ride the pies often get. A lot of this comes down to teams requesting to play the pies at the g. Much like we do with Queens Birthday. We are given the takings from the game out of charity. More than happy for them to have it back. We are not a rabble anymore.
-
Excuse me? I disagree with you so that makes me a traitor? Get lost d!ckwad.
-
He has gifted the home game to us for years. I don't get the hate.
-
I am with you. I am going for the crows in this one. We play them round 23. It would be great if they were out of finals contention and taking it easy with stars coming back.
-
Freo playing ok seeing as they basically gave up on this game at team selection. Pies looking pretty good too. Sets up a massive game next week. Both teams in good form.
-
Post match advising that Lever has gone to the hospital for scans to see if he has done his ACL.
-
Was that James Magner in the rooms? Solid Win. Bulldogs came at us early, played with quick ball movement and looked quicker than us. Had a good run with the umps to start. Hope Lever is ok.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TIM SMITH

Not really. He has come in and played his role when required and has had a good career which he can be proud of. He has impacted a number of games, the majority of which he has not been gifted but has earnt. There are heaps of people who never make it. -
Over at the Doggies supporter forum . . .

I have stuck with this club for the past decade with a heap of terrible memories. I'm going to gladly accept this run of good form and enjoy it as much as I can. I am fully aware that it can end at anytime. If other supporters want to get ahead of themselves then good for them. Enjoy it. -

No way would we add Pedo to the mix unless one of the existing talls was injured. Even then I bet Weideman gets picked if he has form. Pedo's days are done. He can be proud of his career. -
Hmm...looks like you are correct. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/paul-roos-reveals-new-spin-on-2013s-blockbuster-trade-between-melbourne-and-gws-giants/news-story/20f8f893a20fcd0c57cf90e413938e49

Its interesting to look back on the 2016 draft. Still too early to tell how its going to turn out as the majority of players are still only finding their feet, but its clear that we didnt rate it. Traded out our best 2 picks and picked up 3 VFL players, 1 Speculative Small Fwd and 1 Speculative Ruck
-
What makes you think we would have taken Billings? Roos was big on big bodied midfielders at the time and I once pointed out that we might have taken the Bont. @Vogon Poetry had a very good theory that we would have taken Sharenberg at 3. Cant quite remember why he thought that, but it had me convinced.

Thoughts. We were playing with a large number of players out of form at the start of the year and were doing ok. Hawthorn game showed that we were out of form and gave us a reality check We were mentally under the pump in the Richmond game with the aftermath of the Hawks game and were not on our game 4 games against easy opponents, but we now have a number of players who are back in form. This one is ours for the taking. They have a large number of players out and we are in red hot form. Lets do this!
