I just don't rate the saints rebuild. IMO they get a free ride from the media as their rebuild should be nearly finished and you would expect them to rise up the ladder because of it. Much like we did years ago with our failed rebuild under Bailey. I think it was Voss who said that we were the next big thing. That comment was based on expectations more than anything. Billings looks like the only one who could become a star. Others look like role players who will help them rise but I don't think they will challenge without getting some more talent. Coffield and Clark could be the exception as I have only seen their JLT so far.

Here is a taste of what we will have this year. Petracca mid/fwd.

Judd and Danger both have/had explosive breakaway pace mixed with an excellent top speed. Ablett is definitely very quick. He isn't as quick as them but there is no way you could say he is slow. He has good acceleration and good pace without being great. He doesn't need to be. He is stronger over the ball than most and uses his strength to his advantage. He has super quick reflexes and is 'clean' with his ball handling. He rarely fumbles. The stats sheet never tells the true story with Track as most of the time he does the right thing with his possessions and sometimes something special that others can't consistently do. Once his tank is bigger and he starts getting more of it he has the potential to become a star of the game (something we haven't had since Flower). Will it be this year? Possibly. Sit back and enjoy the show! Slow? You're dreaming pal.

I'm all for getting Gaff. Exactly what we need and he would be very gettable. I wouldn't be chasing Dahlhaus. We have a heap of players competing for that hff position. I would much rather spend the money on someone we need. Sloane and Lynch would both be amazing but I think they will stay or there will be other clubs who will make godfather offers to them. I don't want to break the bank.

With Lonergan and Mackie retireing, they will needed to move Harry Taylor back to the defence. They needed another forward to replace Taylor. They picked up Crameri as a delisted free agent. He hasnt played consistently in 2 years (1 year ASADA ban). So it was a risk for them.

Ablett sounds like he could still play round 1 even though he hasn't played any preseason games. Cockatoo has been injured but they are confident he will be ready. Crameri in doubt. Henderson and Scott Selwood are out. "Star defender Lachie Henderson (knee) is still on track to return some time between rounds one and four, while Scott Selwood (ankle) is on a similar timeframe. Early rumours are that Danger has been ruled out for round 1. Will need to wait for scans.

I agree. You will probably need to stop visiting these forums. Opposition supporters are bad, but the comments from some posters on here will be the ones that cut the deepest.

A poster on big footy mentioned that he spoke to Harmes uncle at the Melbourne vs Stkilda game. Harmes was concussed at training and didnt pass the test to play. Not sure if it's been reported already.

AFL app has OMac on the bench listed as OUT and he is greyed out. Usually indicates an injury when they are grey. Shows they won't be back on. Hope he is just being tested for the rest of the game??

Pretty sure the Tigers had 11 by the time they made the grand final. We have 8 right now. We will probably have 11 by the end of the season. It doesn't mean anything.
