What is the definition of a big fish? In my opinion, it would be a player that you have given up significant currency in salary cap space or the trade itself. Free agency changes things as you no longer need to trade for the player. While no one has landed the marquee type player and won the premiership yet, I think its only a matter of time until someone does. Lance Franklin moved to the Swans under free agency. They have made the grand final twice so far. Nathan Buckley was traded for pick 12 (Chris Scott) and 2 players (Starcevich and Leehman). Nathan captained the side for 9 years, won 6 best and fairests, 7 All Australians, 1 Brownlow medal, 2 Grand Final loses, 1 Norm Smith. Surely, every magpie supporter would do the same deal again if looked upon in hindsight. Tom Boyd was a number 1 draft pick who was traded for Ryan Griffen (current captain) and pick 7. He signed a contract for 7 million dollars over 7 years. His team won a premiership 2 years later. Does this example somehow not count? Maybe because Boyd isnt actually that great a player? (Yes. He was good on the day it counted)

I was in a remote area with patchy internet. I was watching on the AFL ap which would show 30seconds and then cut out for 30 seconds. I got to see the great passage of play to get the ball up from one end to the other. I saw Salem take the mark and Crossy waving his arms to tell him to take the shot before it cut out. We were celebrating when it came back and I went nuts! I don't think I will ever forget that moment. So much suspense. I was confident that he would kick it.

If we lose, it will just play out the way they want : fairytale return! How good is this team going to be? Will they go undefeated all year? If we win : did we overestimate the cats? Did Geelong pay to much for an aging Ablett? Is Gary's shoulder ok? The Cats have no depth. There will be nothing about us.

oh really? I thought there were doubts about Gary but haven't kept up to date on the other 2. They are all match winners who can take the game by the scruff of the neck. They are at the level we hope our young players will get too and the type of player that we have missed for decades. You should give it a go @CBDees. Bit of fun for the year. Setting up your team is the hard part and requires a bit of effort. But its very easy and fun after that.

I do know that Supercoach scores are now directly related to Champion Data points. If you kick a goal to put your team in front with 1 minute to go, it gets more points than if you kick a goal while 10 goals up or down. They obviously do not have Hunt as a half back flanker as Hibberd isn't elite. (Unless they don't have Hibberd as a hbf)

Love it. Nothing will be better than our home jumper, and I still prefer the red back but this is just so much better than any white one we have had. Particuly the bali knock off from last year which was horrendous. I do have a soft spot for our original red clash jumper but understand that it will not solve all the problems. Also would be a fan of an inverted home top with mainly red with a navy yoke. Even if the yolk was more of a traditional V. Much like the kangaroos new clash strip except red with a blue V. North fans got to vote on their clash and chose the below.

We are keeping the red back for away games vs Bulldogs and West Coast.
