  1. Yeah I view it that way as well. Top 10 are really good, then throw a blanket over 10 - 20. Barry Prendergast will have a harder job this year than the last few drafts. Pick 32 should be a decent player as well though. I'm praying that Luke Mitchell is still there, but I reckon he will be pick up around pick 27 -30. I'm actually starting to lean towards Darling at 12 if available. I wonder if the club will have the guts to get him. I reckon they will play it safe.
  2. I have a feeling it will be Gorringe who slides. Hope Gold Coast pick him up.
  3. rookie only please!
  4. Agreed.
  5. Nice work E25. I doubt Atley will slide to our pick. If we had a choice between Gorringe and Darling who would you pick? I've got a feeling that Gorringe might be a slider. Gold Coast will be the only ones who might pick him up.
  6. People on here have short memories. Last time Bruce's contract came up for renewal his manager Ricky Nixon jumped up and down, spread rumours about going to other clubs to the media and like the stubborn bastard he is, he dragged it out as long as he could to make sure he could get the best possible deal for his client (and himself). Then after that happened Bruce signed and came out and said that he never had any intentions of ever going to another club and that he wanted to be a one club player. Same thing is happening right now.
  7. I like the red diagonal stripe on the shorts.
  8. Article in the Herald sun today about Eagles not trading for Krakour. At the end of the article it says that Eagles are ready to pick up Darling with pick 4! Might just be guessing from the reporter.
  9. The AFL has made You Tube remove the player highlights. So annoying.
  10. It's sad how we always remeber our champs at their worst when they leave. Yze, robbo, jeff white, woewodien. To a lot of supporters will always be remembered for their worst and not the way they should have been. At their best, they were all awesome.
  11. Wow. Thats an awesome fixture for us! anyone complaining about anything has rocks in there head.
  12. There are so many question marks over this guy. Hope we steer clear.
  13. Its good to have you back Dee Tention.
  14. Bad moves hawks. You need a GOOD ruckman. We should try and sell Paul Johnson to them. They only have 5 crap ruckmen now. They might need another.
  15. I think a lot of people can see the hole that he will fill. I really don't want to give up our first 2 picks though.
  16. Holland did a lot more than anyone around pick 21 in the 2003 draft and also plugged a hole for us. So, no im not kidding.
  17. I thought that Darling only turned up for the height/weight measurements and interviews. Pretty sure he didn't do any of the physical activities on doctors orders after the beating he took.
  18. Ben Holland was a great trade! Borderline 22, but could come into the side a fulfill a role. Shocking kick but had good hands and could play forward or back and also rucked when we were in trouble. We gave up pick 21 for Ben. The player who was taken with that pick was Alex Gilmour. followed by Cameron Thurley and Matthew Moody. We certainly won that trade. I reckon Hale would be better than Holland.
  19. Not really any worries for them though. Thornton is dead wood. Griggs is decent but certainly won't be hard to replace Walker is injury prone, poor disposal and is on the borderline of there best 22. Jacobs is good but is third in line for the ruck. Anyone I miss?
  20. indeed. It's going to be interesting to see who stays on the list now. Maybe the club is expecting some of our players to be traded out. Player X, and 3rd pick for Player Y. This would free up an extra spot.
  21. This is what im thinking also. If the Blues end up with pick 14 then they will be much more likely to part with pick 18. If we could get pick 18 for Warnock and our third round pick would be awesome.
  22. Hey Dannyz. Whats his motive for coming to us? Game time? Home sick?
  23. Mick Malthouse will be a director of coaching at the pies. Essendon are also looking very likely to appoint Bomber Thompson or Mark Williams as a director of coaching. What the hell does a director of coaching do? Do we need one?
  24. Was always going to go back to Essendon one day. Just like Scott West will likely be going back to the doggies in a year or two. Wellman was great for the club. I remember reading a Martin Flanagan article saying that Wellman would make changes in the coaching box without waiting for imput from Bailey.
  25. Yep. If the interchange restrictions happen (which looks extreamly likely) then the 2nd ruck position will become obsolete. Instead every club will need a number 1 ruck and a big forward or back who can ruck while giving the number 1 ruck a break. Jamar, Spencer and Gawn are the true rucks. Fitzpatrick is a forward who can ruck. Martin is hopefully a forward or back who can ruck. Paul Johnson is a 2nd ruck, and is now not needed.
