  1. Nick Stevens is the last one I remember.
  2. I think Kent has talent but I also agree that he does need to show more, no doubt injuries are a factor with consistency but if his body cant stay fit then we cant keep hanging on to him. I also wouldn't consider in the 3 games he played before being injured in round 4 that averaging 12 disposals, 1.3 tackles and kicking less than a goal a game is good footy. For someone who is meant to be applying pressure in the forward line, 2 tackles a game is on par with Jack Watts.
  3. It works just like the AFL Draft, picks starting from the bottom placed clubs to the top. The benefit of finishing low is that if an out of contract player wants to move then you can avoid having to trade for them if your confident that no other team will pick them up first. Basically Carlton can get anyone that is out of contract and offer nothing to a players current club if a player wants to go to Carlton.
  4. Dawes, Lamumba... this is going to end well
  5. Casboult hasn't had the luxury of playing with another key forward who would be the focal point. Him being the support rather than main man to Hogan would actually be quite good, he's also capable in the ruck for those 5-7mins a quarter we need unlike Dawes and the height/strength to pose an actual competition unlike Pederson. I'd take Casboult's 20.53 a year to Dawes' 9.13 a year.
  6. I don't agree with with that Matt Jones wasn't a liability but I get what you're trying to say. At no stage this year did Matt Jones as an individual cost us a game, when we lost and he played poorly he usually had 8-14 mates with him that played poorly.
  7. Had a man-bun. He now has circa 1998 boy band hair.
  8. I'd have a pretty bad attitude as well if all my team mates are winning flags including blokes off the street like McEvoy and being demoted to the rookie list. He can come to Melbourne, push Dawes out the side and hopefully play a role as forward/ruck which is something we desperately need.
  9. Great clubman means "no ability but didn't have the heart to cut a good bloke"
  10. No we're not, but its ridiculous that someone last year though he was worth re-signing for 2 more years.
  11. First player suggested that is a realistic get and actually worth discussing.
  12. Let's hope his finger is sorted quicker than Frost's toe.
  13. I do like this... but Smith is an agile no. 1 ruckman. While we need ruck depth and he's better than Spencer he doesn't make our starting 22 any better. Unfortunately he's not a forward, if he could kick 1 or 2 a week then he'd replace Dawes no issue.
  14. Everyone has the capacity to kick goals, its capability we need. Dawes has tons of capacity... no capability.
  15. Do Bail and M.Jones really have contracts next year? I'm astonished how Terlich got given a 2 year deal last year when he only played a handful of games and then looked no where getting a game this year. If all 3 are contracted we're going to have to pay them out, they cannot be on our list next year... what a waste of money thats going to be.
  16. Mitch White hasn't looked out of place, prefer him to Lumumba off half back.
  17. Wow... did I just see a quick passage of play? Funny how the resulted in a goal.
  18. That last time we played GWS had we rocked up at quarter time we would missed all the action. Dee's did nothing after the 1st quarter...
  19. That sounds very Mark Neeldesque. Tell the players exactly how crap they are, give them no inspiration at all to even bother after that, then destroy any ability to attract any mediocre player and get stuck with Sellar, Gillies, etc.
  20. We lost by 9 goals. We lost 2 players before half time. AND, Stretch, OMac are no where near ready for AFL. M.Jones played. Could have been worse.
  21. FFS he got given the handball with no time and run down from behind, he got sold by Garland.
  22. He's played in 175 games where we haven't turned up so I think this is rather fitting.
