  1. 0 after this season, unfortunately for him it's make or break time.
  2. The club has been spending the past few years trying to grow it's membership base by targeting the Chinese market through free tickets to international students for select games, sponsorship deals with China Southern and Greenwood Capital. While these efforts should be acknowledged, the news out that Port have got a deal signed for 2 games to be televised into China shows that we may have missed the boat with another opportunity. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-04-03/port-games-to-be-screened-on-chinese-tv-
  3. Yeah don't need any Hurley types, we need some more players with "premiership experience" like Lumumba and Dawes. I hear some Shoenmakers guy has some premiership experience, lets offer him $600k over about 4 years?
  4. I'd only make the one change and thats bring in Dunn because we need him for matchups. That past 2 weeks the best big man on ground has been oppositions main forward target, Lobb and then Danniher. The team playing is apparently our "team of competitors" so let's give them the chance to make amends. While this will sound defeatist, I don't wan't make wholesale changes to play North who we'll lose to and then make more wholesale changes again following next weeks loss. Otherwise our next 2 matches will look something like this: North Out: Bugg, Oliver, Brayshaw In: Dunn, Grimes, ANB Collingwood Out: Grimes, ANB, Kent In: Bugg, Oliver, Brayshaw
  5. I think there would some merit in games like today when we're clearly not switched on that seen as we have a coach in waiting in the box for Roos to go to the bench and address some players when they come the bench. I would have pulled Garland and McDonald off and said OK which one of you is playing on Danniher? Once you work that out, hpw about you actually use your body so he doesn't get a free run at every high ball bombed in to him?
  6. They were also wearing the white guernsey, you know we were setup to lose as soon as we had to wear white.
  7. It's not just the Bulldogs though, while Melbourne seem to make rebuilds be the hardest thing on earth... it's not actually that hard. Port where at the bottom for a couple of years then shot up, Bulldogs as you mentioned were at the bottom and have shot up, both Brisbane and St Kilda have hit the bottom and in a rebuild but they remain competitive and cause a number of upsets each year. Its just Melbourne that make a big song and dance over every little feat. Oh hey look we won the first game of the year, wow! Oh hey lets get two wins a row, wow! Jesus, I cant imagine what its going to be like when they aim for 3 wins a row, they'll probably get on a bender thinking they just wont back to back to back flags!
  8. He got the ball a few times and then disposed of it, hardly what I'd call good. He does absolutely nothing when he disposes of it, he doesn't try to hit a target, just thumps it on the foot and its anyones best guess as to where it will go. For all his praise of he provides run and carry he seems incapable of bouncing the footy so his "run" isn't any further than about 12 metres.
  9. Or we could have played Dunn, but yeah they didn't have any talls to worry about.
  10. We have no answer what so ever to Danniher. His kicking will be difference between a win and loss today.
  11. Well we finally got a decent player from Collingwood, take a bow BenKen.
  12. Thank god they got Pedo out the way so he could take that grab down back
  13. He also has a little more leverage of manoeuvring a trade to his preferred club when he's out of contract.
  14. Yeah I agree the arrogance is a bit concerning, but theres nothing surer than Jack Viney winning the Brownlow this year baring too many votes being stolen by N.Jones and Vince who should round out the top 3.
  15. I think it was quite evident yesterday that our forward line was to congested, predominately for 3 quarters. I'd remove Frost and stick with Pedo, they both have their Pro's and Con's but Pedo offers us more. He'll chime in with 1 or 2 goals, he can take a good grab, he can pinch hit in the ruck, and if need be like yesterday he can be swung into defence. He isn't as quick or agile as Frost but he doesn't look lost and makes it a contest. OMac playing over Dunn surprised me, at the end of the day Dunn probably wasn't required with the lack of big targets in the GWS side. For me I'd keep it simple, Dunn for OMac who will probably be on the sidelines with an ankle for a week or 2 and Brayshaw for Frost as another runner.
  16. Let me guess, you're not a member are you?
  17. Forgive my ignorance but is match simulation literally players kicks ball to player who is unopposed then has set shot on goal? Or is there actually competition to win the ball and contest a mark etc.
  18. Sounds like a recruitment drive for Vic Pol.
  19. Really impressed with the kid, he doesn't play like a draftee with 0 AFL games to his name. He attacks the ball, hits packs, chases, tackles even managed a couple of sausage rolls yesterday. He's not slow either, we've all heard the type about Petracca... if he shows the same as what Oliver has shown in his 3 NAB games then we've got ourselves a couple of gems.
  20. If North's deal in Hobart isn't renewed I'd rather go down that option. Hobart to Melbourne is about an hour on a plane, would be cheap to get to, I'm sure a substantial more people from Melbourne would make the trip compared to a Darwin game, I know I would. The last time I looked into a trip to Darwin for a Saturday game I would had to taken Friday off for my flight and to be able to actually do something on Sunday would have a middle of the night flight Monday morning that would require me going directly from the Airport to work. Not to mentio the flights were going to be able $450, I'm not travelling to anywhere in Australia that costs more than an international flight. $200 return to NZ, $500 return to Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali etc all cheaper than a trip to the top end. I'm also a fan of cooler climates, I'm much happier having a few froths rugged up in layers at Bellerive rather that sweating it out in a singlet in the desert.
  21. Paul (addressing the group): "Now boys in this footage here you can see the Bulldogs players attacking, what are you meant to do?" Colin (nervously raises hand): "Def... def... defend?" Paul: "YES! YES BOYS! DEFEND! YOU'VE GOT IT"
  22. There would need to be a ladder first for us to be at the top of it.
