Gawn looked average in the seniors the week before, but on reflection, after freezing to death watching our effort against the cats, maybe we don't have much to lose blooding him for the rest of the year.

If Jack Grimes is our major concern we don't have much to worry about. Reckon every other AFL side would love to have him on their list. One of the few players who can constantly win one on ones, has grunt, has size and ,has shown growing maturity as leader, yet many on here want to keep give him a belting. Seems like a great Melbourne bloke to me. Clearly I don't get it.

I don't think Jonesy is selfish but Cross's loss hasn't helped him or the side and it showed yesterday and probably the past couple, so it unfortunate. Cross has improved the midfield and his experience would have been handy yesterday especially around Selwood , but Selwood is no mug.

Seems to be a similar sort of discussion than the I'm over Tommy Mac one that was running recently. Didn't agree with that one and don't agree with this one either. But that's ok we're allowed to disagree . Grimesy has had some pretty good games this year, as has his co captain. They just need to bring them every week. Think that might have been the path Roos was going down yesterday.

As it happens I like Spence so that might give you a clue on one of them but that's as far as I go. I actually like blokes who hold chest marks and kick goals from 25 metres out directly in front. Re the others, its the other senior blokes who turn up to play "sometimes", not every week like the good sides and I felt Roosys presser kind of touched on it in terms of some of our more senior players going back to the "here we go again" mentality and dropping off.

I'm with Jumbo. Coach killers who already have Neeld's and Bailey's scalps. If Roos, Jackson and coaching staff don't act on them at the end of the year they will get the same tarnish as their predecessors and next year will be the same this one or last year or the year before that . If you keep repeating the same practices you will keep getting the same outcomes.

Get a second forward target into the side. ASAP ie Fitzpatrick. If not good enough , get rid of him, he was suposed to kick on this year. When are we expected to see something from this bloke?
