Just turned on Carlton game 2 throws in a couple of minutes by Blues ignored Cripps yet again mouthing off at umpires ignored
  2. ... and don't forget Premiership player Minivan, who will almost certainly be playing finals this year, unlike his ex team mates. ๐Ÿ˜€ PS when I re read this post I was going to correct the autocorrect, but ... no, why? Probably a reasonable alternative spelling. Thanks. You are reminding me once again of one of my big hobby horses. Players who lead with their heads into a contest need to be penalised every time, to break the habit instead of their neck. especially when it is Darcy "Spleenbuster" Moore
  3. Maybe Mr Fence doesnโ€™t want to be labelled a blasphemist.
  4. This was very different from any of his priors. Moore contributed 100% to this one.
  5. IF his appearance of being UNinterested is not related to some sort of niggling injury then what would we get for him? One of my decades long queries - do we have a sports psychologist - may be very relevant here. Does Max Viney have any official role in the club? I know he has been doing grappling work with JV7 and others, and AFLW, but could he help get our whole team to tackle, and break tackles better?
  6. Thanks Redleg. Best description of the episode yet. Had this involved Daicos, Cripps, Cameron there would be absolutely nothing to see, in fact they would have earned a free kick for low contact.
  7. Thanks, once more, to Andy, George and binman for your tireless work getting my favourite podcast to air each week. Between you there is a balance of humour, reason, optimism and pessimism (won't name who) and passion. I couldn't help noticing on the game day thread just how many posters, ostensibly and presumably MFC "supporters" who incessantly bagged many of our players and of course the entire coaching panel, recruiting and trading staff. I just wonder why they bother quite frankly, and whether they actually love our club. Only one team can win a flag, and every successful team needs to reset and rebuild though not necessarily involving bottoming out. Yes, some, many of our players had bad nights and or were beaten, yet we were missing quite a few automatic picks in the line up (May, Lever, Oliver, Petracca, maybe Sparrow, Spargo and of course Brayshaw), many of those being experienced leaders. The season was disappointing to say the least, but is the glass half full or half empty. We blooded Widsor, Tholstrup, Howes, K Brown, and got games into JVR, McVee. McVee may or may not turn out to be a gun mid, but at least (yes, through circumstances) he has had a feel of midfield and may or may not settle there or concentrate on becoming a gun defender which of which he has shown plenty. Looking forward to this being discussed bit tonight and in a full season review, and again after trade and draft time. Thanks again, and GO DEMONS 2025. Exciting times ahead (though many here will have nothing good to say about our beloved DEES, players, staff, recruiters, traders etc until we win another flag) - even then some will complain about the margin, ack of killer instinct when we lead a GF by 60 points and end up winning by only 50..
  8. OMG. Playing in his first season, so only one preseason. Full of exuberance and energy, but has yet to adapt to the pace of AFL. Yet you call it a disaster. Strange interpretation of an interrupted debut season.
  9. 1116 SEN had him dawn and quartered.
  10. All our players will. Round 0, if it is as 2024, was for the finalists to match up. It was a footy act. Kozzie didn't line him up, Moore fell / slid and should have been pinged for sliding under Koz's legs Footy act. Careful Gonzo. "Allegedly", or "could be considered by some as " corrupt.
  11. Maybe uninterested, but no way disinterested. As above. Let's hope that he has been carrying some sort of physical injury. Need him 100% fit, and interested for the full 2025 RedLegs23 - yes, he is frustrating. He can be amazing and could be amazing again if somehow there was better forward delivery and spread.
  12. Which line. Sandringham running b
  13. McVey off interchange straight to rooms. Anyone see anything?
  14. SEN have Kozzie drawn and quartered
  15. At least three were absolutely no prior opportunity Jaded - you hate this club then why are you on this site?
  16. At least I am supporting OUR players. Having a bad night. Fritsch is off in the rooms. Maybe concussed or ill like lever.
  17. Of course they are trying but are being outplayed. Do any the multitude of the fickle โ€œsupportersโ€ here really think they arenโ€™t trying?
  18. Mids and forwards need to apply pressure
  19. Binman - interested in stats on forward pressure.

Surely it depends a bit on if the fitness guys believe if Ollie has more scope for physical development and endurance - if so he should stay, if not, no. Luker has come from zero preseason and obviously JT saw something. I believe he did a bit of ruck work last weekend. Anyone see how he went?
  21. Would be handy for a year or two, and a major upgrade on the aforementioned duo, so it must depend on (a) his interest in MFC and (b) cost in draft currency.
  22. I am sure we would all love to - the inexactitudes of drafting though has bitten every club at some stage. Morton, $cullduggery, Maric, Strauss etc spring to mind Half a dozen legitimate potentially gun midfielders at the pointy end. There. Corrected. But I do trust JT way more than any of our previous talent seekers (at least since Jim Cardwell) and out traders.

Yes. Why not all who miss out on top 8 play in the prefinals bye week to determine draft choice order. Say 9v10, 11v12 etc with the winners to get the higher picks than those they beat. May not change things very much except 17v18 there would be incentive to win not tank to get #1. And of course the AFL would get some extra $$$$$.
  24. What coaching expertise would โ›๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘ƒโ˜bring? Hird, Buckley and Voss #1 at least - great players, not so good coaches. I was thinking along similar lines. Still involved with the club through AFLW, and even if not formally a forward coach certainly could continue as a mentor (which I suspect he is already).
