  1. ... or a break glass replacement for his ex team mate Dunstan? it sometimes appears more like crystal meth and? or??

There are way more reasons than you cite as to why we kept Clarrie.

Maybe a Coleman medal would convince Harrison to stay 🤔? Fully fit he is certainly capable of this feat. Stay Harry - win another flag, a Coleman and maybe even a Normie.

We haven’t - unless we are able to watch Casey regularly - had an opportunity to say if Disco is a dasher or not. What do regular Casey pundits think? I agree 100% re Judd though.

Not sure if coach Macrae could actually kick goals on the field, whomever he was coaching.

only if his Achilles' allows him to Seriously any team that has to play in Darwin needs it to be immediately before their bye, or at very least an 8 day break.
  7. OMG the “gone to Port” rumours will be up and running soon. GNS I agree that he was probably a great sports medicine practitioner and a lovely guy, but every health practitioner’s primary responsibility according to AHPRA (and Hippocrates) is to each end every patient, and is morally if not legally required to tell his employer to get stuffed if he detects any hanky panky at all. Turning a blind eye is not an option. I am genuinely happy that he helped you, as he no doubt did for many others including Essendon players, but my point remains.
  8. Poor Maynard is apparently the victim in all this, not Angus who caused all this stress on the poor guy 😡😡😡😡😡 Not half as toxic as that lizard Maynard, and the AFL acquiescing in their total hypocrisy.

No wonder some people suggest that the AFL is a totally corrupt body given the lack of due process and the non recusal of the Collingwood tribunal chairman. Maynard playing again in 2023 after his (at very very least) careless / reckless assault on Angus makes me absolutely ill. I have not been able to watch any final since🤮 It makes me question whether there is any scrap of integrity at all anywhere in the AFL.

Blackmail is in fact working together - even though under duress. JVR has been very competent covering for Max, but is far too much a bigger value as a forward to consider this other than perhaps doing ruck work forward while Max drops a kick behind the play. I realize that Faris-White is a long long way off in his ruck development, but Casey watchers, does he show any signs at all of developing into a forward ruck?
  11. Of course you have to be in it to win it. Seriously? IMO very lucky not to have been put through the wringer by AHPRA (medical board successor) for breaching one of the basic ethical requirements, putting his patients health paramount over the orders of the payer, in this case EFC.
  12. Thanks to all who have updated us who are not / cannot watch. Congratulations to all

Just another possible issue - was Brundy fully fit to play finals? Injury and tank included? I would love to see him at least one more year in the R&B - Max just cannot go around solo for another year. IMVHO the combination just wasn't worked at smartly enough by the coaching panel - new faces as mentioned above McQualter could bring a fresh view on how it may work. I guess if we grab someone who can make a go of support ruck ?Chol, things may be different.

I thought that Lever did an ACL at Alice? Could, of course, buy why would they given that we roll over and accept it every year? (and the same for KP) We have had a pretty good record at Alice and other than this year it has always been played under excellent conditions. (This year I believe was the coldest, and one of the wettest days ever recorded there)

Great news and cool interview. He seems to have found his niche as a tallish hybrid forward - whether he retains that role will depend a bit on who else comes on in 2024, and who else we may pick up. He needs another 58 games to get to the century in case he has a son sometime who wants to follow dad and grandpa in the R&B. 27 x 2 over the next two years and at least a few the following year will do it. Agree with Timothy RAB's disappointment that he isn't expecting to play the full 27 next year 🙂
  16. His connection with Mark Williams can surely be a positive for the midfield and their delivery forward.
  17. Gun shy because we ended the HandA in top 4 three years in a row? Winning finals is super difficult. Ant the trade play - Maynard so we will get every Demon follower at every game just to boo him? As I recall there were only a handful of attendees at Collingwood and Carlton playing interstate clubs too. MCC waiting times for boys listed at birth is now I think something in the order of 30+ years.
  18. Fabulous news for the club. Now he needs to restart his kicking academy which appears to have paused last season. GO DEES.

Surely “keep the bastards honest” implies honesty presently exists. Surely (try to) make the bastards honest would be a more realistic way to put it.
  20. I think it has been raised before, but is it true that the Chairman of the Tribunal , who basically dictated to the tribunal that despite all the evidence Maynard was blameless, is a Collingwood member (if not even more involved in that club)? If so the AFL failed to address a massive conflict of interest. No surprise at all by the way. No wonder that at least some folk believe that the AFL may be corrupt to the core.

Of course, but that would be fair and equitable, so no way will AFL have that. You forgot our mandatory annual Geelong trip.

The succession plan likely involved Petty, JVR supported by Fritta and Melksham - stupidly they didn't think that the three experienced members of that group would all have significant injuries that impacted the structure throughout the season. They may also have thought that the Brundy Gawn experiment would work, but that perhaps more predictably clearly didn't.

I may have said it before, but an "elite kick" isn't any use at all if he cannot get the ball. Accepting that we were a basket case out the time, so who know how any (and others) may have developed in a well run club, Strauss and Maria were drafted as "elite kicks" - sadly they rarely got the ball to display their elite skills,
  24. Really? Travel interstate every second week early in the season, play at Mordor, Tasmania?? Not bloody likely.

Gil’s legacy -Umpiring - now with 4 - at an all time low. Helped the Pies win 3 finals. -ARC - pathetically underfunded and helps Blues into finals and to win 2 - MRO, tribunal and appeals board hopelessly compromised, inconsistent and untrustworthy Enjoy your parting bonus and go off and play polo. Leave our game alone.
