2023 Player Reviews: #19 Josh Schache
I can't remember - was the contract extension before or after his unused sub role v Blues? Strange that - both the extension and his management v Blues. Mystifying really.

2023 Player Reviews: #38 Oliver Sestan
I havenโt seen him play other than the odd look at Casey - other than fitness base are he and Kolt vying for the same position? Are there any similarities to Luke Tapscott?

2023 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner
Poor guy hasnโt had any consistent opportunities - injured in his debut, mismatched in his second game and dropped after a pretty good performance in his third. I really hope he is given some consecutive games early in 2024.

2023 Player Reviews: #21 Matt Jefferson
I haven't seen Jefferson play in person - what is the Weed analogy based upon, others than being tall and skinny? (and I do understand that very few young talls show the intensity of JVR)

2023 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes
To my eye he looks similar in build to Judd McVee.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Closed Sessions at Casey until 2024
Surely that clip is from Linton Street, Moorabbin in the 1960s, the Saintsโ then home ground.

Training Ground?
Sadly I think by the time this gets to fruition, many of us will be looking down from a great height playing a harp, or trying to suss out what is going on in a very hot place avoiding magma pools.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 15th December 2023
Many thanks Mr Fence. No serpents today? I heard a rumor that Angus had some sort of scare in a semi competitive drill earlier in the week. Was he doing non contact stuff at all? From your comments, it seems that there could be quite a few selection table late nights at either end of the ground, and quite a few disappointed players running around at Casey. A nice problem to have mind you.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
And yet we โonlyโ lost by 7 points. The entire team was flat, and in fact scared that their friend and teammate initially might have been dead, and then may have remained comatose, for the remainder of the first quarter. Absolutely and understandably shell shocked. They actually did well to out score what was mooted in the media as the greatest team of the year with 6 goals 11 points to 5.4 for the rest of the match. Even if Angus was not going to have another of his big finals games, he would have inevitably contributed towards at least a couple more goals than did his replacement, and the flat first quarter may have been even a little less flat. But, inevitably, the AFL have yet again squibbed at making a genuine statement, which they will feign as soon as a โlesser player from a lesser clubโ actually does make accidental contact with an opponentโs head.

Goffy - yes I believe it was deliberate / intentional but at very least it was reckless / careless which would also have put that piece of ๐ฉout for the finals. But , true to form, the AFL weaseled their way out to appease Collingwood.

Training Ground?
But Mr Fence, just think, no infested with serpents ๐ Maybe just one wishful fantasy - relocate RFC to become the Tassie Tigers ๐ and then Punt Road will be free ๐

Like so many before him (Sylvia, Watts, Morton etc) just one good preseason away from superstardom

PRESEASON TRAINING: Closed Sessions at Casey until 2024
I guess there can be career averages and recent form. Ant And then there is disposal efficiency which you donโt quote. Frittata and Melksham donโt count then? And positions donโt matter eg if it was, say, from our top 15, heaven forbid Rivers and Langdon, it would be far less impactful than Petty, Melksham, Frittata (Brown even) all at once. There was no key forward structure left.

2023 Player Reviews: #6 Brodie Grundy
โWouldGrundy have done better than a non-utiliesdSchache? Almost definitely.โ Absolutely 100% without any shadow of doubt could not have done less - and not blaming Schache at all for that.

Drones anyone?? Sorry, but Josh is still nailed to the bench, never to be released.

bluey - you know this for a fact, or speculation, or rumour?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 1st December 2023
Back - meaning in defence, back on the bench unused, back at Casey?. Only one player in any team (and happens to be Collingwood) to whom I would wish any serious injury and I guess we all know which piece of scum that is.

Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
How exciting would that be?? Looking forward to the season.

Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
JJJ - I hope you mean by 'a lump of clay' that he is ripe for molding, rather than being an inert blob which is how some could misinterpret it ๐

Welcome Back to Demonland Marty Hore
Hope that is a typo and we aren't getting another arrogant <person who tosses> Mason Cox ๐บ๐ธ ๐ My post wasn't meant to be negative in any way - purely a question as I don't remember a lot of detail about season 2019 Must have been away working a bit

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 27th November, 2023
IMVHO Woey would have been a far better sub than Laurie when Angus was assaulted so early in the game. He is already ahead.
