Surely you mean Flogmantle.

The surprising form of Hawks and WCE should be a warning to us NOT to be in anyway complacent tomorrow - though, granted, Kangaroos are not birds of prey.

Angus Brayshaw huge goal to take the lead 2021 GF - wasn't that from another "super boot Daniels"' clanger?

Aliir Aliir & Lachie Jones in Concussion Protocol

Dangerfield no doubt out preening for some media promotion, not related to this shameful episode. At the time it was reported that the Port doc viewed the incident and said nothing to see (even though the rest of the world was aghast). Also reported was that the AFL have someone in the bunker viewing this too with power to all the attention of the clubs to concerns. Where they blind too? Exactly - an opportunity for him to show that the AFL are actually serious about concussion, but he squibbed at this first contest. Glad he isn't playing for us. -
Of all the hypotheticals, surely there is only one that matter - win our next 7 and we are Premiers.🏆

He has a very good approach and movement. It is just so outrageous though that there is no VFL game again this week - wasn't there a bye about 2-3 weeks ago? "...When Clarry is back, if Viney is sore, you could rest him for Hawthorn, but I reckon they'll push Viney until the end of the H&A season." surely you mean the end of the season, not just the H&A. won't 'rest' him for a final 🙄 Demonstone - so you really don't know? 🤔🙄

This is behind a paywall - what sort of "massive fine" are they referring to? Full fine or part suspended (which in itself is a farce)? Is the fine part of their salary cap? If not "massive fines" mean very different things to different clubs eg MFC 2012 vs WCE or Carlton. This is far more a case of "bringing the game into disrepute" than alleged tanking without tanking. Far worse, especially given the current (entirely correct) emphasis on concussion. Sounds a bit like the usual AFL, outrage without major consequences. -

We can already see the AFL's "reaction"...... nothing, sweep under carpet, hope it goes away .... typical. chookrat - it was stated that the said doctor looked at the footage, the footage we all saw in horror, and said (paraphrasing) "nothing to see here" and let Alir back on. That is not a mistake - it is either gross incompetence, or gaming the system, probably both. -

Feet? Is that Bailey's problem, after he achieved this feat? -
n Sorry dee-tox. I was thinking along the lines of comparing Alir Alir with Mac Andrew's build. Nothing to do with Rick. Apologies for any confusion.

Thanks binman - fabulous analysis once again. Wodja - who is happier? The pessimist who is always right, or the optimist who is sometimes wrong?

Are we thinking Alir Alir type here?

Just having another look at the replay - Petty's fourth goal after he was going back and forth, side to side, leaving the defenders guessing is just what we have needed in our forward line for ages. Movement +++. Let's hope that they can all learn from this and continue movement. For far too long our big forwards have appeared static just waiting for the bomb, and being spoiled in the contest.- 263 replies

DWA - none of us really know exactly what is going on though many of us speculate. We have to trust the FD, because there is no other option. It is not a democracy, or even a demonocracy.

Maybe they should be, like Essendon, banned from finals this year, or docked points. And AHPRA should, though probably will not, investigate the Port doctor for potential conflict of interest. Ethics requires a doctor to put the patient's interest above the employer's interest, in every case. (Didn't happen with Essendon and Reid, of course) as above -
Isn’t their coach making a comeback too.

Vaguely recall the there is some biblical reference to dresses made from hair. Smith is an ideal sub, but can we really expect him to do this every week? Though I seem to remember JJ doing it in 2021. Which reminds me - is Disco Turner still injured? -

Petty and JVR are both fierce and aggressive contestants. They make defenders think twice and doubt what will happen next. Exactly. Petty's aggression and his defensive skills are as important up forward as down back. David Neitz #2 ?? That said, and it is of course a big IF, if Jefferson develops as quickly as JVR has, by 2025 perhaps Harry will be able to move back to cover when May is finishing up. Am I right in saying that Glenn Swan's career was another victim of Leigh Matthews unconstrained thuggery? -

It was joy to watch - movement up forward. Have been waiting a long time to see this, and I hope it is here to stay. Both Petty and JVR are very mobile for their height, -

You forgot punctuation. What? Was their doctor thinking? Should have, as should the Essendon doctor. AHPRA requires that the doctor must put their patient before their employer. -
Looking forward to the podcast more than ever before as there are so many things to celebrate, and to speculate on for the remaining games. Win the next seven and 🏆🏆🏆 What a great win - gives me a feeling of 2021. We looked just so much fitter in running out the game. When 20 down I had similar feelings as in the late round Brisbane game 2021 - confident that we would run over them. binman - is this truly the loading starting to work?? Delivery into F50 still a bit to work on though having HP and JVR actually moving, making a lead, into whatever limited space there may be does give those upfield something to consider. Where does Frittata fit in? Some sort of rotation with these two? BB certainly looks like a break glass option now as does TMc if he gets back on his feet. Can’t really see a spot for Spargo now.

How can two defenders not kill that ball?
