  1. My two kids (8 and 6 yo) were going nuts. My 8 year old said his legs were still shaking 5 minutes after the game
  2. I missed it, where was it shown?
  3. Yep, first time we've ever won after the siren
  4. Never too late to start! 🥂
  5. At halftime I just kept thinking of the Lions game. Same issue, getting smashed around the clearances. We didn't make much headway in the 3rd but the final two goals that quarter were crucial. Then put the foot down in the last and dominated out of the centre in a blistering display. That is premiership footy. Plus we get an added bonus of having the second quarter to review and work on our deficiencies while still getting the win and the minor premiership 😍
  6. CARNA DEMONS!!!! MINOR PREMIERS!!! Now let's get the real thing in a month. Dunno if it's been mentioned but pretty sure thats the first time we've EVER won with a kick after the siren. Reverses the 2018 games, Maxy misses with a few seconds left in round 1, Tuohy sinks us after the siren later that year.
  7. Bring it on Would rather see us win the flag in front of 50k feral Port supporters than in front of 60k west aussies out for a day on the grog.
  8. I've been thinking along those lines too just too scared to put it in writing - D'OH!
  9. But if we win and finish on top we are less likely to win (most premiers have not won the minor premiership over last 10 years) 😂 Damned if we do, damned if we don't 😂😂
  10. All good mate, hope everythings ok 👍
  11. Wow, talk about going from 1 to 100. 🙄
  12. Not in September
  13. All the memorabilia, caps, t-shirts, posters, framed pics, DVDs etc I told my wife years ago if Melbourne ever won a flag I'd have the DVD playing on repeat in one room. She's a Geelong supporter so hopefully it's not against them or it could get a bit awkward 😂
  14. Would be great to win in WA and get some redemption for 2018 (and 1994!)
  15. Honestly I'd prefer we didn't make a big deal out of this. It's a distraction and I can't imagine Goodwin or the players care. We're not getting a financial benefit from it so what's the point? Unless we are angling for some kind of compensation.
  16. 87 Prelim vs 88 Grand Final 🤔
  17. Alice Springs against either geelong or Bulldogs would be great. Doubt either have played there before. Port Adelaide would probably be happy to play there, they've olayed there a few times from memory and generally draw a crowd. Having said that NT went into lockdown yesterday didn't they? So may not be an option.
  18. That would be great
  19. If the Bombers and the Blues go a few more decades without winning a flag that would be just fine by me. Would give us time to catch up and take our rightful place on the throne with 17 flags. Hopefully we can start making inroads over the next few years (weeks?) As we were stuck in the 50s for way too long the Blues are still stuck in the 80s. It's great and I hope they continue to be [censored] for a long time to come.
  20. Yep of course although to be honest I don't fear playing any team at their home ground (except maybe the Lions) and I doubt the players do either.
  21. Not only that, considering it's likely there will be a week off either before or after the Prelims winning week 1 isn't that big of a deal either. Of course going out in straight sets would be a nightmare but assuming you get over the semis it wouldnt be the end of the world to lose week 1.
  22. Who knows if we'll even have the chance again? If we're in it this year of course I'd want to win, would be great for the players and the club. Then hopefully they can back it up next year, "2021 was for us, 2022 is for the supporters" type of thing. If it wasn't such a long drought it wouldn't be an issue, its the fact it's been so long and most supporters have never seen one that makes it stick in the guts.
  23. Thinking of the ride and the emotion my cousin experienced when Richmond broke the drought Thinking of that magic 4 weeks the Bulldogs supporters had including my wife's cousins who went up to Sydney for the Prelim as well as the GF in 2016 Thinking of the Cats supporters who got to experience a dominant win to break the drought in 2007 Even the old South die hards who were there for the Swans in 2005 Then thinking of us potentially being cheated out of that experience especially after all the heartache we've experienced over the years makes me feel ill
  24. Negative tests pregame should be sufficient, that's still 6 weeks away. We're in lockdown for another 2 and a half weeks minimum so the chances of having an outbreak caused by the GF are slim to none. Have designated entry times if you just to limit the queuing outside pre game
  25. Yep the 88 prelim was great too. Although getting smashed in the Grand Finals was horrible the build up to get there was fantastic.
