POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Outstanding win today, very fun day out at the footy. There will be bumps along the way but it feels like we are back on track after the last couple of seasons. Roo showed what he can do when the ball is out out in front of him and he doesn't have to wrestle his opponent with the ball dropped on his head. Not many double grabbers today either. I thought Windsor was very good through the middle as well and Max, what more can you say? An absolute stalwart, surely there is no longer a question about the greatest ruck of all time?

Changing train lines, how will you cope! FYI I've had to do this on the Craigieburn line for years, it's pretty simple really.

I think it's overstated and provides a convenient excuse for Longmuir. Richmond seemed to run out the game better than Carlton, the Bombers are just a far worse team than Hawthorn and probably would've got smashed regardless and the Crows got the better of the Pies. What were the Giants and Lions excuse? If we're good enough, we'll win.- Exclusive Interview with Paul Guerra, Steven King & Steven Smith

Or Mihocek 🙄- KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
The McDonald situation was completely different. We weren't pushing Viney out, he was still contracted. He was the one exploring a trade to North and we extended him unnecessarily. We should have told him he is required but if he wished to explore his options that was up to him. We could've offered a one year extension not 3. Chalk and cheese.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Tuesday 10th March 2026
It adds to the worsening experience of going to the footy. They already blare [censored] through the speakers way too loud during the breaks as it is and have these pathetic "fan activations", it detracts from the natural atmosphere of the game, and when we are playing in a barren MCG of around 20k people and have just kicked a goal to reduce the margin to 45 points with 10 minutes left it will just feel depressing. But sure, progress and all that 🙄🤣- PRESEASON TRAINING: Tuesday 10th March 2026

After that great win against the Cats, and a great performance by Lyon kicking 3 goals, we were 2nd on the ladder behind only the Hawks by one game (and a hefty amount of percentage). Lyon did not play for the rest of the year and without him our fortunes tumbled. 3 lossess on the trot to Carlton, Fitzroy and Hawthorn before sneaking back on the winners board against the Swans and back to back to losses to the Saints and Bombers to limp into the finals. Luckily we had done enough to sew up a finals spot earlier in the year but our form heading in was far from good and would require a run every bit as miraculous as the year before to equal our 1988 feats and go one better.- PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Wasn't helped with the limited prep in the praccy games. Haven't kept up with preseason training reports but thought he was a good show for a round 1 debut so was surprised he wasn't given a full game vs Richmond (which ended up being no game).- Melbourne Membership Day on Radio (10.3.26)
Maybe a throwaway comment but I really hate when the club (CEO's and Pres in particular) say things like this. It's unlikely we will ever be the biggest club in the AFL, not in the foreseeable future anyway - currently we rank dead last in terms of supporter numbers in multiple surveys across decades. The focus should be on ensuring we are a successful club that is self sustainable (ie not reliant on AFL support, not reliant on debt etc) - how we compare to other clubs off field (members, finances, crowds etc) is really irrelevant if we can achieve success and sustainability. It is just setting us up for failure and without a strategy to achieve it it is just platitudes anyway.- Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
Maybe they haven't communicated to Latrelle yet that he will be debuting and so don't want to publicly announce anything before they've confirmed with him?- Kayo digital membership

Yeah but he hasn't won a Norm Smith medal- PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Heath should absolutely be ahead of Jefferson and probably Kentfield too. Fritsch doesn't play tall so I don't see him as competing for the same spot as Heath. It would be a mistake to have Heath playing at Casey only to emerge in the event of a Gawn injury.- Bailey Humphrey
I'm betting he'll go ok- Deathriding Gold Coast 2026 - Sponsored by OnTrac5

Maybe - who would've thought Pendlebury would be part of the next Pies flag in 2016. Or Crawford part of the next Hawks flag in 2004. I'm sure there's plenty of other examples. - GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
