Langford had a great debut season, if he can build on that to become more damaging and more consistent I feel like he can fill the void left by Petracca in a couple of years. I'm hoping Lindsay will grow into his role as well, another very good debut season off the back of a limited preseason as well. A lot is riding on these two over the next few years, in tandem with Kozzie they should become a quality midfield unit.

Oliver and Petracca don't even factor in for me, I was hoping the Suns and GWS did well this year too. I wouldn't begrudge the Saints breaking their drought either but not Freo, I hope they never win one.

It took Essendon about 2 years from start of build to moving into the Hangar so don't think 2 years is too unrealistic. Just depends when they are ready to actually commence building vs planning.

If we don't win the flag i hope they do. Them or the Giants.

Don't disagree with that and I'm not being too critical though it may sound like it. Overall I'm looking forward to seeing what King does and the turnover in the list and the new regime of Guerra/Smith when he takes over as President. I just want to see how things play out before I start patting everyone on the back for a job well done. Ultimately the only thing that matters is success and they will all be judged on the results of the team.

It worked for us in the Trac trade though. If he was out of contract we likely get far less and if a FA only one compensation pick.
