FIXTURE: Rd 20 2021
Any chance we find out where we're playing before the weekend??

Gawn on RSN (27/7/21)
Hopefully he can do something about it the next time we play then because his ruck craft has been terrible.

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
And for all that we were within 4 points with less than 10 minutes to go. A 2 goal game where they kocked one out of their [censored] (English) gifted another that wasn't there (Hannan) and a we let a few through our fingers (Fritsch on the goal line, Brown x2, Viney and Kozzie early, Kozzie missing Tmac on his own, the ball not sitting up for TMac with fritsch free running into goal etc etc) Yeah we lost, not saying we deserved to win but the over reaction on here is ridiculous. It was a 50/50 game where they took a couple of chances and we missed a couple of ours. Not like the game earlier in the year where we completely outplayed them. Looking forward to playing them in September, I'm confident we'll have their number.

Is it just me that can't stand Weightman? Looks like such a little smartarse, would love to seem him cleaned up (fairly) And how good was Kozzies tackle on Richards that put him out of the game? Reminded me of the one from his draft year, head down spear tackle

Would you rather they fly the flag and gift another goal to the Dogs? That's exactly what Footscray was trying to do suck us in to give away another free.

Go look at the 2016 GF! Got an armchair ride that day too, Swans supporters on Bigfooty still furious about it.

I think we definitely were doing it around the bye but probably not since after the GWS game. Gawn confirmed we'd had a higher training load over the month before the Port game but I'd be surprised if it's still the case now. They weren't sluggish tonight like they were against Pies, Bombers, GWS, just didn't take advantage of our dominance in the first half.

Bailey Dale's kicking off halfback was sublime. That's what Salem should be doing for us but he seems to have dropped off since his injury, just not getting it in space or using it to great effect. Still playing well but not great.

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
The free against Brayshaw that gifted a goal to Hannan was garbage. And that was just one of the rubbish decisions. We were lucky they missed a couple of other shots from free kicks, they really didn't take advantage of their umpiring dominance. You know it's bad when even BT is arguing in our favour.

Definitely. Brown, Viney and Kozzie all missed goals they should eat up. Kozzie also had an opportunity to hit TMac on the chest inside 50 in the 3rd after we kicked the first 2 of the quarter. Kozzie was pretty good overall though so not potting him. I thought Viney was very good tonight, anyone still want to trade him?

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I thought we controlled most of the play in the first half but missed 4 goals we should've kicked (Brown x2 Viney and Kozzie). They then kicked 2 just before halftime which ended up being the difference.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Depends how we lose. A close fought game that we come up short? Or being outclassed on the more spacious MCG? Either way it won't necessarily mean we're shot for the year but you could definitely be excused for having doubts if the Dogs completely outplay us.

On this day in 1989 ...
From memory Lyon got injured and missed the rest of the season the next game. He was our only real star so that was that.

And if you were on the first tier close to the fence you couldn't see the play on the other side because it was raised in the middle to help with drainage. And you got splinters in your bum from the wooden seats. And it took 2 hours to get out of the car park. And we always played the Hawks there and got belted. Besides that it wasn't bad. Seriously though a couple of my favourite footy memories were there, winning the Prelim in 88 and knocking the Pies out in 89. And the Panasonic Cup against the Cats in 89. And Farmers goal of the year in 97. Missed the 88 & 91 EFs though.

If Schache plays what are the odds he plays ruck and they send English forward? English, Bruce, Naughton, JUH will mark it hard for our backs to zone off as they'll have to stay accountable.

COVID & AFL 2021
That would depend on whether they could reshuffle the other games scheduled - so who is Adelaide scheduled to play next week? Who are Suns meant to play in round 21?
