Browns peak he was the best of the 3 but is he still there? Didn't seem like he could get separation on Sunday, couldn't take a contested mark and wasn't great when the ball hit the ground. Yeah he's the best set shot of the 3 but will he be the better player for us this year? He may end up being but I think he's yet to prove it so I can understand some thinking Weid should be in the team ahead of him. The main reason I thought Weid would come in first was due to VFL performance and Browns extended time on the sidelines due to injury not necessarily because I think he's a worse option.

Petracca was great tonight. Robbo "why didn't you tell me? When did you know?" Petracca "I've always known" Robbo "you go Gerard, I was gonna ask something but now I've forgotten what it was." Petracca "that happens often" ?

Ive got a bunch from when I was a kid in the late 80s-mid 90s including complete sets and insert cards (got Garry Lyon & Stephen Tingay AA cards, Barassi Legends card etc) The last 5-10 years I usually buy a couple of packs a year of the premium sets from card zone near the Vic market. The best card I managed to get was a Dayne Beams (Lions) redemption card that has a piece of his guernsey and his signature they seem to go for about $300 on ebay. My kids now buy them but don't really "collect" them like I did as a kid - they don't care about completing sets or anything.

Pretty sure they sponsor all the quarter time/half time activities the Robbo hosts like kicking the footy into the giant paint tin or whatever else they do. They used to do the speckies until some guy almost necked himself

I thought he'd get the call up against North and was surprised we went with Brown. I don't think Brown being a big recruit has much to do with it, we did t pay a lot for him so at the end of the day if he is a depth player so be it. Weideman would be playing 1s now if he wasn't injured preseason and if TMac wasn't back to 2018 form. I think he'll get a crack soon and when he does he'll stay in. He performed well last year particularly when he had TMac/jackson as the 2nd forward. Once those guys went down he struggled being the only tall option but I think he'll prove the doubters wrong. I've never seen a problem with his attack on the ball and he loves laying a crunching tackle as well.

Exactly, they have no capital and would need to trade players out just to get picks to use in any trade. If Weideman cones to the club and says he wants to go to Collingwood I'm sure we'll make it happen but not sure what the Pies could offer other than future picks. They might be down for a few years so future picks might not be so bad I guess.

Just FYI LH the MAN he is spanking is Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley

Not to mention Lever restructuring his contract to allow the club to manage the cap a little better. There's real buy-in from the players which is a huge component of trying to achieve success.

It's been a pretty great few weeks for us long suffering supporters! Oliver re-signs, Salem re-signs, comprehensively beat the Tigers, undefeated on top of the ladder, Jackson rising star nomination, Petracca re-signs - even Fritsch getting off at the tribunal. Let's hope this run continues throughout the year and we finally get some reward for our years/decades of heartache.

Hopefully it doesn't translate to the podcast!

Pretty sure rounds 2 & 3 2005. https://afltables.com/afl/seas/2005.html#2
-
But they also have no draft capital to work with - hard to see how they do much this offseason.

Oliver, Salem now Petracca Absolutely fantastic news, the faith these guys are showing in the club, the coaches and each other warms my heart Let's get some success and bring the cup home where it belongs

They weren't just winning the clearance, they were doing it without any pressure. Some of our mids seemed to be cheating forward at times allowing them easy passage after winning the ball.

Appeal it, look to get the impact downgraded from medium to low which I assume wound get him off. The guy played out the game, no injury, no concussion symptoms, no blood. How can that be medium impact? Surely to be medium impact there would have to be some sort of injury or concussion symptoms? If not that means high is anything from minor concession symptoms to KOd and wheeled off on a stretcher.

Pickett has started in the middle every week since round 1 Malthouse you nuffie

Yeah I know, I meant previous years. Electronic targeting post victory would be a great idea as the previous poster mentioned. Also the Ticketmaster website is dog**** agree with that too. How hard is it to set up a website for people to easily purchase the items they want?
-
I've said for ages they should have membership tents outside the ground after wins. I'd particularly target outside gate 2 for those MCC members who wouldn't normally sign up but may think otherwise after the high if a win and/or some pints in the bar.

Out- Tomlinson, Baker In - Weid, Sparrow TMac to defense If Fritsch suspended, TMac stays forward and Petty in to defense Harmes another option if we want him in the Viney role but I reckon Sparrow should be given first crack

Kozzie ♥️? Dogga ?♥️

I wonder if the North players saw how relaxed/casual we were on the plan and used it as motivation? Pure conjecture on my part but I was thinking it during the game, even if nothing in it would be easy for Cunnington/Ziebell etc to say "look at them, they reckon they're in for a walk in the park, games already won" etc
-
Melbourne and North flew up on the morning of the game together on a chartered flight.
-
Any footage? I missed it during the game

I just want to see our defensive structures stay sound. Our execution will be off in some games, it's impossible to blitz an entire season, but there is no excuse for lack of concentration in applying our defensive structures.
