  1. Gee, lots of stairs and getting their only moments before the first bounce. What a horrific experience. You should ask for a full membership refund

See I'm not falling for the whole "embrace something we dont have yet" thing, but I'd love to face Sydney because I think it'll be a great test and we'll push them. Maybe it's just me but I want to play the best possible team in finals.
  3. I don't understand this logic of wanting to attend a game over wanting the easier opponent/bigger test. I don't give a crap where we play. And tbh I'd rather play Port in Adelaide than Richmond at the MCG, only because I care more about us winning a final than actually attending one. If it's in Melbourne, bonus, but for me finals is finals. I have zero interest or preferencr in where it is and I don't mind if I can't attend it.
  4. This is the most Melbourne thing ever... Plenty of things to firmly fit the stereotype, AND amateur marketing material. Those errors are generally picked up on a second peer review. I'm guessing the club either doesn't have a copywriter, or outsourced the material and didnt bother checking it beforehand.

Finals have been a possibility since round 1 though. We're in the business end and talking about them with 1 weeks to go is just silly. We should be talking about Collingwood.

Except we haven't made finals yet and we could very well miss them. A loss to Collingwood isn't the end of the world but an Eagles win against Adelaide isn't that outrageous. It's their last game at Subi and Adelaide already have a top 2 finish stitched up. That's not to say they'll throw the match or won't play to win but you need to consider the variables. If we lose, West Coast has that added incentive to win alongside beating the top team AND playing its last game at Subi, a ground that holds immense sentimental value for what has been a very successful club. I'll embrace it if we make it. WE HAVEN'T MADE IT YET. EDIT: Also, WC is not making up that much percentage. It's very reasonable to hold off on "embracing" something we dont actually have.
  7. I'm guessing it's either apartments or a restaurant that charges $25 for a parma.
  8. Sydney won't go all the way, but if they do it'll be one of if not the best premiership win of all time. To start 0-6 and then be switched on for 22-23 straight weeks is unbelievable. They've had very close to zero margin for error up until last week's game against Adelaide when they clinched a finals berth. Imo that will have its mental strain and they'll hit a wall eventually. I think sydney in sydney would be the best possible test for this Demons team.
  9. Petracca essentially won us the game. Those first 5 minutes of the 4th set up the win and he was the catalyst.
  10. Many a place. Sporting Globe in Richmond is the main go to. I like Sports bar at Crown and The Duke in the CBD.
  11. I was in LA at the time. Downtown where the mobile reception is horrific, so much so that some locals that live in the area don't even bother with data and just rely on wifi. Just so happened that this Sunday night I was in a data deadzone at a place that didn't have Wifi. I would get reception at random points and had to rely on this for score updates. At one point, Melbourne was down by 5 goals. I couldn't get a signal until about the 26th minute mark of the 4th. At that point I think it was 2 points the difference. I check again moments later...no signal. Kept refreshing. Nothing. I had to wait until almost 2am local time when I got out of the shithole that is "DTLA" before I knew the final result. I've watched Watts' goal about 20 times since. Spewing I missed it.
  12. Rubbish. Brisbane are finishing strong, are well coached and have handful of extremely good players. We had 2-3 bursts that won us the game. We never left 2nd gear which taking nothing away from Brisbane is the reality of the contest. We looked great in patches and poor in others but we never really looked like losing. Sure, the fear was there, but we closed out and held on like finals sides do. Brisbane is better than North and Freo. Those losses still anger me. Yesterday was always going to be close. Brisbane are a side of guns that's just lacking some finishing touches.
  13. Richmond, Geelong Adelaide all languish with us near the bottom for marks. Sydney joins us near the bottom for disposal efficiency. The most important stats are win:loss record and percentage. The bigger worry is that we can't win big. Not at all worried about the other stats mentioned here because we're winning the ball where it matters.
  14. Lots of people like that in AFL members but it's improved this year. The last time I bagged a player out loud was probably 2014 vs GWS.
  15. I just slammed the chair in front of me so hard I think i broke my hand...
  16. 50 penalty aside, Jetta should nevet have been on him. Period.
  17. We look to be in second gear. Brisbane have controlled most of the game and seem more likely to score than we do. Once again we break down badly across half forward. For every 1 Tyson clanger we have a Stretch clanger.
  18. I hate to say it but you have raised what we delusional supporters call seguire la corrente", or, "He who follows the current.
  19. Why is the Collingwood one a duck?
  20. That's right. Made one or two vague responses and then when someone challenged him he disappeared. Must have been busy making those Whiteboard Wednesday videos....
