  1. Maybe, but I'm getting suspicious as I've seen an increase in umpires delaying their decision for several seconds.
  2. Do you think it's because the umpires are being fed information into an earpiece to tell them when they miss something?
  3. And then played themselves out of the team the week later, but point taken
  4. Bail for Salem. What a nightmare. Funny how you can be listed 4-6 and then it ends up being about 14 weeks. Also 2 weeks ago I felt sure I'd seen the last of Bail and M.Jones. Here we go again
  5. Very happy for him. I've always liked him but worried he'd fallen out of favour in the first 9 rounds, but luckily he hasn't wasted a game and now he's firmed no.1 ruck. His marking in particular has been really valuable
  6. Our good record against the Demons gives me promise (2 losses, 4 narrow wins since 2012). Wait that doesn't make sense as I'm a Melbourne supporter.
  7. Harmes should just be sub again. I know it's unfair on young players but I think it suits him for the moment.
  8. Our good record against the Dogs gives me promise (2 wins, 4 narrow losses since 2012), so in our era of disgrace they are one of few teams who haven't disgraced us. I think our defence will do a better job than the Bombers' and Port's. I don't think they'll be on top of their game but they'll probably manage to win somehow (or we'll manage to lose somehow)
  9. Please, this is completely wrong. Dawes has jumped in front of Hogan on several occasions.
  10. Every time Jesse kicks 4-5 he plays well enough to kick 7-8.
  11. Maybe the flu explains our low disposal count today? Players didn't want to get to close to each other for handballs ect
  12. Thought Watts was past such disappointing performances. McDonald's kicking was also really poor, Lumumba was bad too. I've loved Garlett this year but his dropped marks were inexcusable. We had so many chances in the forward line...probably took us by surprise
  13. Great fight back (Unfortunately I'm not there today for the first time in years) Don't have to rely on Vince and Jones today!!!
  14. 2 ruckmen + Vickery was a silly selection. And Riewoldt couldn't get involved either
  15. - That we don't have to wait for him to bulk up - He is stubborn in his approach to goal - The ball only has to be kicked NEAR him for him to make an impact - Slick hair, not your skinhead "I'll punch you if you look at me" thug, thus broadening his appeal - Hasn't gone goalless yet - Works well with Garlett - Not afraid to bark at others, has a sense of authority and maturity. - Shows no sign of back pain - One of few players to deservedly wear number 1 -Wears a baggy jumper -ACTUALLY LIVES UP TO EXPECTATIONS - Deceptively athletic - Hasn't gone back to Casey yet. - Hasn't gone back to Perth yet.
  16. He'd have to have changed his tune, I felt this tweet showed he was committed: Max Gawn ‏@gawndog37 Oct 6 Not a big fan of players leaving clubs for lack of opportunity when they have only been on a list for 4 years or less! #yourtimewillcome
  17. I think so. To me it seemed like Watts laid 4-5 tackles against the Pies but he was only credited with 1. It seems like Watts has really improved in 'pressure acts' (where do you even find that stat?) yet only seems to lay 1-3 tackles a game. There should probably be a stat to differentiate between the really dangerous tackles as opposed to the repeat stoppages, congestion type ones.
  18. Say "About [censored] time we won two games in a row", and acknowledge that 2016 might finally be 'The year'.
  19. It's mathematically possible. But who wants to see the Hawks cruise to another flag? Let alone another Hawks-Swans GF
  20. Sounds like we were robbed! Glad to see Newton did well although it's true that his lack of ball winning probably hinders him from getting a shot at AFL level Wonder if White will ever get a game or if he'll be another Taggert, constantly teasing in the VFL from the rookie list.
  21. Good on the Dogs They lost Higgins, Cooney and Griffen to other clubs, lost their coach, Gia retired. Lost possibly their best player to an ACL in preseason. Signed Tom Boyd who doesn't really even fit in the team. Great adversity story. Hope either them or the Tigers win an unlikely flag or at least get to a prelim
  22. Being sociable and blokey gets you a spot on the school footy team from my experience.
  23. From what I've heard, almost always an AFL player was an arrogant jock type at school
  24. Either 1-2, realistically. Another team (out of finals contention) after a big win could probably win 4/5 to finish their season off the back of momentum, but we aren't like that. 8 wins would definitely be a pass from here, 9 would be excellent as it'd mark our most wins in as many years. WE NEED TO WIN 2 IN A ROW THOUGH
