  1. Good, one less mouth to feed at the B&F. If he's that selfish and pathetic, then i don't want our club to waste another cent on that money-grubbing traitor.
  2. Would still go harder at the contest than bloody Watts
  3. And here i was thinking that we might go about things differently come years end, given the crap that has happened this year. But we refuse to learn from our mistakes. Riley i can understand why we re-signed him, Bail is very lucky as he has had 6 years to show something and it hasn't been much. As for Terlich, Roos comes out lambasting our skills and we proceed to re-sign Terlich???? I just don't get it. Will we ever learn?
  4. Watts chooses when he wants to go. If he had the same attitude as Nathan Jones, it wouldn't bother me as he'd go hard at every contest, but he only goes when he absolutely must. It is a p!$$ weak attitude, and the sooner it is gone the better. If he was a lower pick, he would have already been moved on.
  5. Wright is one of the better kicks i have seen for a tall man/ruckman. Similar to Mitch Clark in having good kicking, or Cox or Jeff White. As for his physicality, no, he's no Hogan or Hawkins (or McCartin) who already knew how to use their bodies and impose themselves before they were drafted, but he's more of a ruckman in this sense and will develop that part of his game as he matures into his body. He'll still need time to learn how to use his height and weight to impose himself. He already has the size, so is not as raw or starting from absolute scratch in that sense, but he will need to develop his strength (easier than developing both strength and size, nor as time consuming).
  6. Our compo pick should Chip leave will be an after first round pick selection (so pick 3 if we have pick 2 in the draft). This will also be our form of a priority pick, even though they should be completely separate. However, i won't be complaining re: PP if we do do at after 1st round CP for Chip, as he is worth nowhere near pick 4.
  7. After which he'd take you to the cleaners!
  8. Has to be up there for post of the year!!!
  9. Totally agree, he gives his all 100% of the time he's on the ground. Love the way he goes about it. Same height as Brent Harvey, so there's proof players' that small can still play the game. If you're good enough, you're good enough. We can't afford to be so picky given our current plight.
  10. I think the club has done the right thing. It's about time the players' faced the consequences of their actions (or rather inactions). They have been getting away with daylight robbery for too long. It's about time they were put into the coal-face. Those who survive can stay, those who don't like it should be booted. The one's who are so far below AFL standard should be gone regardless (whoops that's roughly 30 players).
  11. Petracca is this draft's best player, if that's not enough to not want him, i don't know what is.
  12. gave his all but had poor disposal.
  13. Great how many more years is that gonna take? I've been waiting 8 years and we are still pathetically woeful, or is it woefully pathetic.
  14. He was amazing for the first part of the year. I reckon he may be feeling a little frustrated given the service he is trying to receive. Imagine being in a forward line looking at what has transpired for the greater part of the second half of the year. Not only would he be struggling to stay awake, it would be rather depressing looking at from the forward line.
  15. The PP should be removed entirely from the draft system. That way there's no if's and but's about it. None of this 'at the discretion of the board' crap. Just be away with it for good, so both club and supporters know where the issue stands.
  16. I'll bite. What do all coaches have in common? They've all coached Jack Watts. He's the problem, LOL. But in all seriousness, yes it is the playing group (or members within that have kept on falling through the delist cracks) and their pathetic will power to play it moment by moment, contest by contest. I'll be glad when Frawley goes, because he is a massive part of that weak mentality, so too is Watts but he seems to be Paul Roos' pet. And Dawes needs to find his early season form over the pre-season, or he is just taking up space.
  17. I'm sorry but you simply cannot have McDonald and skills in the same field.
  18. Not even Petracca will help us i'm afraid. In fact, i'm concerned for the kid's well-being, needs to stay well away or his football career will amount to nothing. Run Christian, Run.
  19. running through our list, i'll just name the players we need to keep. The rest are expendable or, more likely a lost cause. Will be easier that way. Hogan, N Jones, Salem, Viney, Tyson, Kent, Cross, Pedersen, Vince, JKH, Gawn, Jetta. That's 12 out of a total of 44 including rookies. I have just under 3/4 of our list as couldn't care if they were delisted, traded, retired. WHat's more, we have been re-building since 2007, or 8 years, yet we have more problems in our list now, than we did back then. FFS, it's a lost cause
  20. Now that he has signed a 2 year extension (virtually 3 years), it doesn't bother me if he does or doesn't debut this year. Had he not signed, i would've definitely played him to give him a taste and increase the MFC appeal to him, but we obviously appeal plenty with his agreeing to an extension.
  21. If the Dogs want to pay him $1.1m a year, then they can have him. He's not worth that much. He has had leg/knee problems, and the times he's been on the park, he hasn't done anything to command such a pay-packet. I'd give Hogan (0 games) $5.5m for 5 years before Patton. $500k / year max would be what i'd offer Patton.
  22. What about the little fella Caleb Daniel (#1 from SA). Every time i see him on a highlight reel, i like him more and more. A lot of people say he's too small and that's the reason why he'll be a late or rookie pick at best. I think that type of thinking is complete bs. Prestia seems to be doing pretty well for a little bloke too. For anyone that will say Prestia's physicality allows him to do well, i'm gonna counter with Daniel's pace allowing to become an effective AFL player. Plus, and the biggest plus, the kids got heart. Give me that over Jack Watts' attitude any day of the week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_v6hB90Noo#t=376 his highlights vid is more impressive than Stretches, imo.
  23. I'd zip it. Must be for the MFC's benefit, even if it is against our own.
