  1. Lever was never rated as a pick1. Was considered a likely top selection but never a pick 1. That was reserved for McCartin and Wright before Petracca wove his magic this year.
  2. Doomers and Gloomers, i have another word for them, realists, LOL
  3. MFCSS. Seriously have a look at other events around the world, then put it into perspective. The sun will always rise tomorrow and the next day, and the next...........
  4. Mahoney highlighting we'll have a go at FA next year, well we couldn't tempt any player to leave a year early and give the club better compensation, how on earth does he think we'll attract a top player when every other club can tempt them too?
  5. So we are left with picking 2 of Brayshaw, Lever, McCartin or Wright. Yeah what a sshhhhhit position to be in. #nottheendoftheworld#stillget2goodkids
  6. So what are we praying for now? The Saints to hold on to pick #1?
  7. That gives GWS picks 4, 6 & 7. With Boyd gone, and if they try to trade to get pick 1, that muddies the water on if they would take Petracca, given the only decent tall forward they now have is Cameron. Does this bode well for us in getting Petracca at pick 2?
  8. IF we are able to announce that Jones has signed a long-term contract with us, all the disappointment that has been trade fortnight will go straight out the door.
  9. This draft was being billed as a quality talls draft this time last year, but none took a step up and a few took steps back. So much so that Lever who was out the entire year with a knee reco, is still considered to be one of the best talls available.
  10. Definitely not a super draft, i reckon it is quite a shallow draft, with good kids up until around pick 30ish, but after that it falls away. The top end talent whilst good, doesn't rival some of the previous drafts.
  11. Can you reveal what the proposed deal was??? Just to rub salt in the wound.
  12. All i'm going to say is thank god for Richmond's medical! How much longer would have his foot gone undiagnosed if it was just left up to us?????
  13. Wouldn't surprise me.
  14. ahh yes, but then technically they wouldn't meet
  15. well they both are, but i'd argue that the one heading to London and not New York is closer, because it's heading in the right direction at a faster speed and you don't have to factor in the 180 degree turn.
  16. Still need to land Frost to cover Frawley's loss.
  17. Agree CIP, he'll turn it over all the same, but at least it will look good, compared to what we have had to put up with in the past.
  18. Here's hoping Hugh Goddard slips to pick 23, i reckon he will go alright as a CHB and would pair nicely with Frost at FB.
  19. Ahh, last i checked, we only have Garlett and Frost & Lamumba are no certainties either, with Dogs and North apparently circling.
  20. I'd rather Petracca and Brayshaw for 12+ years than Kennedy for 6 years. Hope that one will become as good as Kennedy, and if not, both together are more influential than Kennedy on his own.
  21. What contingency? It would be extremely naive of the club if all our trade ideas were hinged on everything going according to plan. How about a contingency plan that allows for a bump or 2 in the road. So that if something unplanned is to happen, it doesn't send all our trade ideas down the drain. What contingency plan? ..............................Let's call it the 'common sense' contingency plan.
  22. Que the Picks 2 + 3 for Kennedy + Jones suggestions I'd be happy to give up 2 or 3 and Watts for Kennedy.
  23. It would be truly short-sighted by the MFC if we didn't have a back-up plan if something were to go against us in trade discussions. Quite remarkable if we were basing our plans on the perfect trade week with no contingency plans.
