I for one rate Taylor Hunt, both as a stopper and as an in and under player. Plus he is also a rich man's McKenzie - gets more of the ball, better disposal, has a greater influence on the game (either that or McKenzie is a poor man's Hunt).

Don't GWS have an end of first round compo pick up their sleeves? If they do, our first pick plus frawley compo (2&3 or 3&4) for Cameron and their end of first rounder.

We are owed or due for a back-ended one by the AFL. The reasons they gave for not giving us one last year, have played 0 games for us this year. By their reasoning, we won't be given one this year either. Their logic will be, in 20 years time we'll eventually improve.

Frawley's gone. Aside from Jetta and Riley (both haven't cemented their spots mind you), the rest can go with him. After 8 years of re-building, it's amazing how many extremely sub-AFL standard players we still have on our list.

I hope like hell that in a couple of weeks, we give them the thumping they deserve. All the while we continue talking with Petracca, saying "do you want to be coached by Roos and stay in Victoria, or play in the a$$ end of the AFL?" Get him to tell GWS he will be leaving the first chance he gets if he is drafted by them. Wingard did it, why can't Petracca?

If Brisbane get up...................... which i bloody well hope they don't (would ruin my weekend), the money you profit can be donated to the footy club as your way of repenting. If Brisbane lose, well sure you lose your money, but it will be your justified punishment, plus i'll be happy celebrating a win!

Maybe, but if the likes of Jaksch, Shiel and Tomlinson all say that they want to return to Victoria, it may force GWS' hand a little. It also helps spread the age of their list a little more, whilst they still receive top picks for them.

If Frawley goes, it leaves us a little weak in KPD stocks. I'd give our first rounder for both Jaksch and Tomlinson. Gives us 2 swing KPD/KPF to work with. Go after Shiel and have them throw in O'Rourke for good measure in exchange for the Frawley compo pick.

If Frawley were to go, i'd try to get both. Would offer them the CP we get for Frawley (assuming it's after 1st pick), but no more, hell i'd even ask for O'Rourke. Or maybe a super deal along the lines of picks 3&4 for Jaksch, Tomlinson, Shiel and O'Rourke.

If we could trade down with our compo pick (should Chip go), we could bring in Shiel plus GWS's end of first round pick they have activated (potentially Harrison Wigg).

They can. I think it's more of a case that they don't want to put in the effort to play four quarters.

I doubt Grimes will be put on the table. But Watts should be. I doubt it though, because he is clearly a pet/favourite of Roos. As good as he is Roos, you cannot deny the size of his ego. He would hate to admit he got it wrong backing Watts 100%. Maybe we could Package both Watts and Toumpas for a Mark Neeld special (pick 88)

Anyone who refuses to believe that taking Toumpas over Wines was a mistake, clearly has their head in the sand (at least Wines is able to get on the park). However Picket, your moaning over bringing in Reiwoldt is almost farcical. He is the exact type of culture we are trying to eradicate from our club. That puts you at 1 - 1. Will be interesting to see which way you go on your next player choice!

If Chip leaves and we get Band 1 compo, i'd like to see us bring in a replacement for him. Seeing how there would be so few quality young, ready made KPD we could trade for, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we brought in Durdin with that pick. Use our first rounder on a Petracca or bringing in another good young mid, coz we clearly need to improve the midfield more.

I seriously do not understand the love that this guy gets throughout the AFL. His great games are only ever so often, the others are mildly mediocre (similar to Sylvia - just a little better). For the price we'd have to pay both salary and picks/players, he simply isn't worth it. I'd go after Sloane before i went after Dangerfield, as he influences more games more often.

Rising Star nominations and even the overall winner means stuff all, imo.

On that note, does anyone one know how Lovett is going? Haven't heard any fresh info for a while.
