  1. Injuries aside, he has done nothing since 2011. That's coming up on 4 years. Toumpas has been on our list for 3 and people are calling for his head.................
  2. Rather than list those who could be gone come years end, i'll list those that i believe we need to keep (will save some time). The rest can be de-listed or traded for all i care. Must keep in order of appearance on mfc website: Hogan, N Jones, Salem, Viney, Lumumba, Brayshaw, Gawn, Tyson, Dunn, Stretch, Kent, Frost, Vince, Kennedy-Harris, T McDonald, Petracca, O McDonald, Neal-Bullen, Garlett, Jetta, vandenBerg. That's 21/44 spots on the main and rookie list. Keep in mind these are the "must keeps" which include draftees from last year (too early to possibly cull). Others not listed will no doubt play a role and some of them will be important roles. KPD's - 4 (Dunn, Frost, T McDonald, O McDonald) SPD's - 3 (Salem, Lumumba, Jetta) Mids - 6 (N Jones, Viney, Brayshaw, Tyson, Vince, Petracca) Rucks - 1 (Gawn) KPF's - 1 (Hogan) SPF's - 3 (Kent, K-H, Garlett) Other - 3 (Stretch, N-B, vandenBerg) In my breakdown, it highlights our need for more 'must keep' Rucks, KPF's and Mids that can play in numerous positions. Nothing we didn't already know. As already highlighted by another thread, fix our midfield problems and we give our forwards more opportunities and can negate our ruck weaknesses by roving the opposition. We also need to find ourselves another quality KPF to support Hogan, as Dawes is clearly not it. Another good ruckman (provided Gawn makes it) will help handle the ruck load. Our priorities for draft/trade: 1 - Mids 2 - KPF 3 - Ruck
  3. If Spencer is still on our list after all this time, then King deserves at least 20 years to prove himself.
  4. Would love for the Saints to knock off the Weagles. Biggest down-hill skiers in the comp at the moment, with the biggest flat-track bully in the league in Kennedy. Both have good games against weak opposition, yet go missing when they play decent teams.
  5. I remember towards the end of 2008 how many were calling for Jeff White retirement. Our ruck division has never been the same since his departure. How we could do with a ruckman like him now.
  6. I would have said 'stuff that WYL, they should win for themselves', but clearly they take no pride in their performances or give a rat's arse, if our last 3 games are anything to go by. It's as if most of them are surprised or bewildered that they are required to put in more than 50% effort to get close to winning a game of footy. The nerve!
  7. Sylvia had the talent to be one of the current greats of the game. Too bad his work ethic was the inverse of his talent.
  8. The prelim a couple of weeks later against North was something pretty special. Wiz put in a blinder that night and it was a great feeling knowing that we were into the Granny for the best part of a quarter. Good memories. This current MFC really gives me the shits, i want the old one back. The one that gave me joy. Even if it was only every even year (bar 1996).
  9. To hell with trade value, i want us to field players' that can contibute to us winning, Howe has very little influence (if any) in almost all of our games. His greatest impact this year has been against us, when he decided to stick his knee into Jetta's head against the Tiges. Subsequently, Howe has done nothing since and Nev's absence has without a doubt hurt us. Thanks again Jeremy!
  10. FFS We need to stop looking for handouts. That includes the supporters as well.
  11. Just goes to show how poor he is at the moment. His first month last year he was fantastic. Where the firetruck has that Dawes gone? The one we are stuck with at the moment makes Lucas Cook look like an inspired choice
  12. A double arm and leg amputee would take just as many marks and kick as many goals as Dawes at the minute.
  13. The difference between Morton and Toumpas is that Morton showed at the start that there was at least a chance of him becoming a solid AFL contributor. Toumpas has shown no such thing. Wines has been out injured for a couple of weeks now, yet Toumpas's impact for us in these rounds had had the same influence as Wines's
  14. So........a guy that contributes nothing to the team except for injuring key players when trying to do the spectacular + an unknown quantity + an even lesser unknown quantity. Or in simpler terms, a nothing + a pick hoping to find a very good player + a lesser pick........for a very very good player. Where do i sign (or more importantly, where does Prestia sign!)
  15. Would anyone be against putting Dawes up for trade come years end? It's a joke that a kid who has only played 6 games is already so much more of a better player than he is. Whilst Pedersen is a late call up and has done more in a single game than Dawes has all year.
  16. No. He needs to stay on and continue to try and right the ship and get rid of as many useless players as he can. Only so that Goodwin doesn't have to focus as much of his attention on this continual failure of a re-build and list management.
  17. Great to see we have come out firing in the third!!! FMD.
  18. I want it clarified, who overruled who with pick 4 in the 2012 draft? Did Neeld overrule Viney or was it the other way around? Either way, whoever made the call almost makes Prendergast a bloody genius.
  19. For all the Watts' bashing that i do, i will give him his earned kudos. Smart move on his part dropping himself. At least this way, he might enjoy his footy a little more in a team that's at least competitive.
  20. Even when Wines is out injured, he has more of a positive influence on his teams game than Toumpas.
