Brayshaw had more tackles in 5 minutes than Howe did for the entire game.
-
Not sure if it would be game on. They have thumped us by bigger margins their than they did at Darwin tonight.
-
Farr out Adam, keep your trap shut. You never know who may be trolling on these boards. We should be pumping his tyres up to maximise his value!!!
-
Tom McDonald shown up for the player he accurately is. Played some good footy at the start of the year, but he has a long way to go still. All in all, a pretty poor performance from the majority of the club.
-
Anyone had an update on Brayshaw's injury?
-
Logged on to afl.com.au and see 'Vale: Phil Walsh'. Thought he must have had a heart-attack then read that it was a result of a stabbing from domestic violence. I am numb.

MFC Membership Numbers a Worry !
Demon Disciple replied to Cranky Franky's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree that our membership is a huge worry. This is because since 2010/2011 we have gone backwards in membership numbers. Obviously there are reasons as to why we have, given our poor performances for the greater part of the decade, but relying on increasing memberships when we start to win and come good does no good for us now. More members = more revenue generated by the club, but tomorrow's dollars won't help us today and relying on future potentials doesn't either. The fact is, since 2011 we have gone backwards in membership and potentially backwards since last year. Extenuating circumstances cannot be brought into it, because our profit margin doesn't care about it. -
where do you get your info from ,wjd?

National Under 18 Championships - 2015
Demon Disciple replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes they could be forced to make picks before us, but those kids are never going to come to MFC anyway. So we might get pushed down the order, but the same kids will still be available to us (we won't have any stolen away from us). -
National Under 18 Championships - 2015
Demon Disciple replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
How do you pronounce his name? Sh-aish or Sh-ackee -
I agree, like Crossy who has countless times this year has backed into a pack and taken valuable overhead marks, Jack could do this too. Plus there wouldn't be any problem when it came to hearing footsteps from Trenners (about as brave as they come)
-
That's a big 'if' RGRS. I'm not expecting him to make a full recovery, he's been out of the game way too long.
-
I see where you're coming from GT, but if we were to have kept the pick, would have we drafted Crouch with it?
-
Ummmm, how? Sure we won, then beat the Doggies and Druggies the following weeks to make the finals, but it was the Cats who tore us a new one in the Elimination Final.
-
As posted by Leoncelli_36, we have an open training session this Thursday evening at Toorak Park. Anyone from Demonland thinking of going? It's rather close to my place so i may venture down, would be great to reminisce about the big win just past!

Bernie is the player we all hoped Slyvia would become, but never did. One of the best trade results to ever transpire.

MELBOURNE IN THE MEDIA
Demon Disciple replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
It very well might, but surely that will no longer be a problem for us WYL. If we can win at Geelong, we can win anywhere (maybe even at that cesspool they call Docklands) *Upon looking at the fixture - we are guaranteed a home game in September!!! -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Demon Disciple replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not sure if we rated him higher, but out of the three he was our lock - there was no way we were not picking him. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Demon Disciple replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's because of the damage and effect he had with those 20 possessions that made it seem like more. Plus there were plenty of plays where he didn't get a touch but was very influential, ie. bone-crunching tackles -
Agree Django. Whilst Gawn will become our #1 ruck, unless Spencer comes on in leaps and bounds to fill the #2 spot, we still need some more quality ruck coverage.
-
You're only as good as your last game. On that basis yes, Bernie is our best player.
-
If he was reading that Mono, he wouldn't have a clue trying to differentiate them!
-
Was anyone seriously expecting a win?
