Melbourne resistance is futile

A few called it really early with the momentum shift and they were dead on. Amazing how predictable it is to know we will fall into a heap at the first sign of resistance. All other clubs know this, it only takes a bit of pressure (12 minutes to be exact) and we will fall in a heap. Leadership nowhere in sight.

Their good players' started finding the ball, and our usual suspects all decided to kick it in. Howe, Bail, Jones, Watts, etc etc.

Whilst it may not be related to the thread, i've seen that Minson has been given a 4-week suspension for his barely touching an umpire. This is an absolute joke and farce from AFL Victoria and the AFL in general. What about the footy player that got kneed in the head by a field umpire running into him? Nothing came from that, yet if it was a player they would have been given a life-sentence just about. Shocking double standards.

Hypotheticals are good and all, but what truly counts are membership numbers. Fact is we have gone backwards in membership growth. Circumstances aside, we have gone backwards since 2011 when we need to be going forwards.

35000 is still not enough. Our membership record is above 37,000 achieved back in 2011. If this club is to survive, we need to grow our membership base, something we haven't been successful at in the last 4 years now.

Watch them stick their hands out for a PP, and watch the AFL give it to them.
